@SqueezedReb2 Universities have Billion dollar endowments, they make tens if not hundreds of millions on tv deals, tuition is through the roof, they have the money to pay the players

We are gonna end up in a situation where only the top 5-10 richest schools can keep up with player demands, and the NIL market is gonna crash when the remaining 12k FBS players can't get paid. Honestly, more schools should start refusing to pay at the current level so we can expedite the market crash. Hopefully, that would keep some athletic programs from going broke before it's too late. Unfortunately, the top schools won't stop while they can afford it, so everyone else would just be surrendering the season to those few schools, which is why this won't happen without 3rd party intervention.
