Animal rights activist Emma Smart, 47, stormed a seafood restaurant in Weymouth, grabbed a live lobster from the tank and “freed” it into the harbour.
She was convinced it was about to be boiled for dinner.
Turns out the lobster had been a much-loved educational pet at Catch restaurant for two and a half years, used to teach kids about marine life, not on the menu.
Staff tried to stop her but she legged it anyway.
Now she’s been hit with a three-year restraining order banning her from the restaurant and admitted causing criminal damage.
Eco-lunacy at its finest.
Got to go back to 1981 for the last time we beat Man United at Old Trafford. Never beaten them there in the premier league era. I mean, hope isn't a strategy but would be nice to buck that stat! #lufc
Maybe getting the opportunity to play Augusta National unlimited times the month leading into The Masters, while skipping three straight tournaments, gave Rory McIlroy an unfair advantage over the other competitors… Just maybe.
Congrats, or whatever.
Very odd narrative this morning from Sky. Pushing the idea that Rory squandered a six shot lead. He started the day on -12 & finished the day -11. The story isn’t about squandering a lead, it’s about how good Cam Young was yesterday! #TheMasters
When the Strait was closed, fuel prices on the forecourt’s raised immediately. Now it’s reopened, watch how fucking long it take for them to go back down
Dear @Ryanair@DublinAirport why put up "Final call" when just one single passenger has boarded? Why put "gate closed" 15 minutes before the gate is actually closed? There must be 70 people still to board. Why stress people for no reason whatsoever?
New - Boss of Ryanair says the airline will have to cancel "5 - 10% of flights through May, June and July" if the Strait of Hormuz remains closed.
Michael O'Leary tells @ITVJoel people should book flights for the summer "as quickly as [they] can" to avoid rising airfares.
