@BreadmanBoxing That’s fair. I feel like a trifecta of 147-154-160 helps his case. Especially if he’s able to unify and/or become undisputed in at least 2 of those weight classes

@_STECON He has the talent. But we are already in 2026. I dont know if there is enough time for him to be the FOD.

The race for Fighter of the Decade is not as clear cut as some may have thought. It's literally 6 guys who can make cases. Bud, Usyk, Inoue are the leaders. But Bam and Benavidez are younger and ascending. And if Shakur can clear out 140 or 147....may be tightest race ever.

Given the run of play in this Pistons - Magic game, this is truly going to be one of the best playoff wins I've ever seen while also being one of the most spectacular losses I can remember. The Magic blowing a 22-point HT lead, at home, IN A CLOSEOUT GAME, is unforgivable.

@SebC__ That’s also prime example of what “agility” is in sporting context. Your ability to react and change direction to live stimulus. “Quickness” is rate at which CNS responds through “perception-decision-action” feedback loop.

“Wemby’s too emotional.” “Wemby should stop crying.” “Wemby’s gay.” Can we stop with the tired old clichés that treat emotions as a weakness, either in sports or in life in general? I asked Wemby about why that is. Here’s his response: “That’s a tough question. I think it’s first and foremost a fear of judgment. Like this feeling that you have to act a certain way, social codes, I guess. Personally, I refuse to carry the burden of having to hide my emotions.”

@JoelAdejola Better you’re able to identify these traits that lead to a player’s skillset, the more you’ll be to couple and value relationally between teammates in a team setting.

@JoelAdejola I think a key ingredient and often missing from sporting analysis is a nuanced understanding of player performance and athleticism. Players’ games develop organically, meaning the underlying athletic traits that define their game do as well.

@jackfrank_jjf Absolutely bro! Appreciate your passion for the game and I always try to read your work. Decoding and understanding athleticism within sport is my passion, and I often time feel it’s missing component of coverage/analysis

Scoot took time to adjust to simply being a good NBA athlete rather than an elite, overwhelming one + it's really helped his game. More poised on drives, better polish in PnR, still knows when to dial it up. Fun to see alongside defensive + shooting growth and passing talent.

@jackfrank_jjf and his assessments were taken pre-draft, so I acknowledge the possibility that his overall athleticism and the amount of movement strategies have changed. BUT, the great thing is, these are trainable qualities to return to baseline

@jackfrank_jjf I do think it’s important to note he’s had a few lower body injuries and we know that repeated trauma to the hamstrings hinders ability to generate concentric (acceleration) and eccentric (deceleration) force (1/2)
