UNCONFIRMED REPORTS: Australian Federal Government will be implementing the ‘Petrol Rationing Plan’ which would limit Australians to $40 for each purchase of fuel in early April if the oil situation from the Middle East isn’t resolved. Essential services such as Police, Ambulances, firefighters, taxis etc would be exempt The plan has the overall approval already with the National Oil Supplies Emergency Committee (NOSEC) but to move into effect - Federal & State Energy Ministers, ExxonMobil. BP, Ampol would all need to agree to its implementation if they believe that fuel supply is inadequate It would then require Mr Bowen advising the federal government and Governor-General on the need to declare a national liquid fuel emergency and the Governor General would then make the declaration which would then give Mr Bowen the necessary powers

@PaulineHansonOz They all must be on the take, profit from it or rely on people who are. How does the government handle corruption within its ranks, if it needs to vote to investigate that corruption?

@MickamiousG have used it for coding, it is good. out side of that i have used it for brainstorming, planning , checking spreadsheets, writing, summary, strategy. It is pretty decent. All the latest models are pretty damn good.

Bryan Johnson livestreamed a 27mg dose of 5-MeO-DMT yesterday to millions of people and called it the most profound experience of his life. What almost no one in the conversation is pointing out is that 27mg is a MASSIVE dose, well beyond what the clinical research supports, and it reflects a bigger problem in how this molecule is being facilitated right now. For context, the only Phase 1 clinical trial on vaporized 5-MeO-DMT tested doses up to 18mg. Shulgin listed the upper range at 20mg. Most experienced practitioners I know consider anything above 15mg to be high. And this isn't unique to Bryan. Across the 5-MeO facilitator landscape right now, there's a widespread assumption that bigger dose equals deeper experience, that the whole point is to get someone to the white light, the full ego dissolution, the cosmic reveal. That assumption is wrong, and it's the core reason this space has a safety problem. I've worked with this molecule myself, and nothing in 12+ years of psychedelic experience prepared me for what it does to the body (not necessarily the mind...) My first time with 5, I shook so hard I lost track of where I was in the room. I was making sounds I'd never heard come out of my own mouth, heat flooding my chest, tension I didn't even know I'd been holding suddenly leaving in these full-body waves that had nothing to do with my conscious mind. That's the medicine doing its job. Not the cosmic vision nor the white light. It was all about the nervous system releasing stored-up tension from the past years, if not decades, of life. The real value of 5-MeO-DMT -- the thing that actually changes people's lives -- is what happens in the physiology. Full release. The nervous system clearing out years of stored trauma, holding patterns, and tension that live below conscious awareness. You can get there without heroic doses. You get there with precision, with a facilitator who understands what's happening physiologically and who can tell the difference between a healing release and a genuine crisis, because from the outside they look almost identical. Bryan had Dr. Robin Carhart-Harris on call and a medical team on site. Most people sitting with 5-MeO-DMT facilitators have none of that. They have someone who attended a few ceremonies and decided they were ready to hold space. If this molecule is entering the mainstream, and thanks to Bryan, it just did in a massive way, the conversation needs to move past "how far can we push it" and toward "how do we keep people safe while the real clearing happens." What's your experience been like with 5?

I think you get worse results from LLMs if your messages are full of typos and grammatical mistakes. I’m sure this would not show up in benchmarks, but I still believe it. The models respect you less and become lazier as a result.

@camsoft2000 "or just carry on fighting the slop and accept each new feature will take longer to implement than the last." Fight the slop, When you go from 0 -> 1 go fast as hell. After your software starts to get to this size, MOVE SLOWER. Really scrutinize why this feature is needed

I’m getting to the point with one of the projects I work on where the complexity of AI slop is becoming a real issue. While I can still happily prompt the agent to add x feature and it will do so and it will likely work perfectly, the code is just getting too complex and fragmented. Agents love to copy and paste and keeping patterns DRY is a real challenge. The agent will start diverging all those copy and pastes until you’ve got loads of similar but slightly different blocks of logic. Again it all still works and solves the problem I’m after. But I just can’t get any kind of consistency anymore, the code is a mess and I just don’t have a handle on it. I want a clean unified architecture but agents just code with tunnel vision. The project is now too big and complex for an agent to fully reason with and too big and complex for me to reason with. The only real solution is a complete rewrite. Maybe this is the way things will go. Code will just become disposable. I don’t really want to care about the code and to be honest I don’t but I do care about consistency and maintainability and the AI slop is hurting those very things I do care about. I know some will say “I’m holding it wrong”, use x,y,z skill, tool whatever and already use tools and anti slop skills, plans, docs, etc but the outcome is the same. Vibe coding something into existence is truly magical. But turning it into a mature product with months of iterations is painful. I can’t even hand code this thing because I don’t understand the code anymore and I’m too lazy to try and code myself because I’m addicted to AI. So what’s the solution, either start again and accept that’s just the way we have to roll, or just carry on fighting the slop and accept each new feature will take longer to implement than the last. I’m tired. I’m addicted.

Summer in Iran is coming. Iran has some of the hottest places on earth. Barely any rain and constant sun. This ‘war’ is going so bad that now we are threatening to blackout the entire country. Innocent people cannot survive Iran in the summer with no electricity.

As we hit the peak and collapse of the 18-year cycle, the perma bears are finally going to have their time to be “right” after 15+ years of being wrong. It’s important that you (and I) don’t get trapped in the bear p0rn after it expires. The perma bears will be extremely convincing though but they’ll repeat their mistakes and miss the cycle low. It happens every cycle.
