Two things we've learned over the past week:
1) MPs getting plastered on the job is a complex topic which requires thorough exploration of its many nuances.
2) Acceptable levels of force for police to use is a settled debate, and any scrutiny is out-of-touch madness.

As I was reminded this week, it doesn’t matter how much you condemn antisemitism, if you oppose this, oppose ethnic cleansing and genocide, supporters of Israel will still call you antisemitic.

Israel controls every aspect of people’s lives—what we eat, how much we eat, the quality of the water we drink, and the environmental conditions we live in. It decides who receives medical treatment and who dies from lack of it, who can travel and who is besieged, whose home is a tent and who lives under roof, where people can live and when they must evacuate.

A series of Israeli attacks have been carried out against a number of southern Lebanese towns and villages since this morning including Ain Baal, Breiqa, and Barachit. A massacre is also being reported in Zrariyeh, and first responders are still on site.

I like raw beef and suspect it is the taste of blood I like. Habit picked up from childhood. Never told the wife of 30 years so a guzzle of diced beef after work picked up from the local Tescos is my secret fix. Bacon is nice too, especially the fat. Pork and chicken, best not.
