Today i visited Overseas Pakistanis Commission Punjab on the invitiation of Provinical Minister and Vice Chairperson of OPC Barrister Amjad Malik. OPC under the leadership of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, VC Amjad Malik and Commissioner Saman Rai, has done a remarkable job in helping overseas Pakistanis by addressing their issues and grievances on prior basis.

Our conversations from restricted talks to delegation-level discussions, followed by a warm & gracious dinner, extended over three hours of substantive, thoughtful, and forward-looking exchanges. The Pakistan–China All-Weather Strategic Partnership continues to flourish. We had a productive dialogue on further strengthening bilateral ties, advancing cooperation under CPEC 2.0, enhancing high-level exchanges, and jointly celebrating the upcoming 75th anniversary of our diplomatic relations. We also reaffirmed our close coordination in multilateral fora. On regional developments, we underscored our shared commitment to peace, stability, dialogue, and diplomacy as the path to resolving challenges. Together, we mutually agreed and issued the Five-Point Initiative of China and Pakistan for Restoring Peace and Stability in the Gulf and Middle East. I am pleased to share a great news that the Government of Iran has agreed to allow 20 more ships under the Pakistani flag to pass through the Strait of Hormuz; two ships will cross the Strait daily. This is a welcome and constructive gesture by Iran and deserves appreciation. It is a harbinger of peace and will help usher stability in the region. This positive announcement marks a meaningful step toward peace and will strengthen our collective efforts in that direction. There has been unnecessary speculation in the media regarding peace talks to end ongoing conflict in the Middle East. In reality, US-Iran indirect talks are taking place through messages being relayed by Pakistan. In this context, the United States has shared 15 points, being deliberated upon by Iran. Brotherly countries of Turkiye and Egypt, among others, are also extending their support to this initiative. Pakistan remains fully committed to promoting peace and continues to make every effort to ensure stability in the region and beyond.
