We can’t keep starting Raphinha in a team where Gordon, Alvarez, and Lamine Yamal are all starting. How many times does he need to play in that No.10 role before people realise he simply isn’t good there? The best setup is a midfield three of Frenkie, Pedri, and Gavi. And if we really want to use a No.10, then Fermin or Olmo are far better options in that role than Raphinha. As long as Gordon, Alvarez, and Lamine are in the lineup, Raphinha should either be on the bench or Gordon sits out for him. This whole Raphinha-at-No.10 experiment just doesn’t work.

We all love Szczęsny’s character and what he brings to the dressing room, but we’ve got to stop being emotional here. The gap in level between him and Joan García is just way too big. If Joan García gets a serious injury next season, we’d be in trouble. Barça need to avoid letting emotions run the decisions again and look for a stronger backup goalkeeper.

Since the club insists on a second striker profile, Eli Junior Kroupi is right there. He'd be expensive knowing how much mid-table PL clubs charge for young players, but he'd be a lot more feasible than Joao Pedro or Julian Alvarez, and a much better long-term investment too.
