I made Claude Code beautiful. For the last month I've been building Noml: a desktop app for your coding agents that bends to exactly how you work. Themes, layouts, configurations, every surface, made yours. Not a terminal you tolerate. An app you love opening. A peek 👇

I don't get the hype around CLI coding tools like Claude Code. Human-computer interaction evolved past the terminal 30 years ago for a reason. UIs won. Why are we regressing?

@jonathan_wilke You're right. The issue is just that no one has made good UI's yet. Codex App is a step in the right direction though.

@jonathan_wilke Your post is the exact reason I built Noml which centers on great look, feel and efficiency for agents. noml.app

Noml is becoming an ecosystem, and the first new piece is voice. Noml Roar lets you talk to your coding agents: dictate prompts, drive the app out loud, and transcribe anywhere you type. Coming soon.

Clearing something up: Noml isn't Claude Code only. The terminal is a real PTY. Codex, Gemini, opencode, any agent CLI runs in the same window as your editor, git, and files. Claude Code just gets the native treatment first. The rest work today.

Quietly one of my favorite parts of Noml: you never open a separate git client. Stage, commit, branch, merge, resolve conflicts, push, all right beside your editor and chat. And the commit message drafts itself from your staged diff. One window to ship.

Genuinely impressed by how good Fable 5 seems to be but I do have concerns that this might be the start of social class based model accessibility if @AnthropicAI don't adjust their plans to pull Fable 5 from subscription usage in just over a week. Would love to hear other's opinions on this.

Claude Fable 5 is here. It's already in Noml. Anthropic's most powerful model yet. One click in the model picker and it's good to go.

Dynamic UI, software that adapts to the person using it instead of forcing them to adapt, is a big part of where this all goes. It's what @ycombinator has been asking for, and the exact thread I am pulling on. Noml is step one. Today it's an agentic workspace you shape into exactly how you work: themes, layouts, every surface, yours. Customization you drive by hand. The destination is an interface that does that adapting on its own. Noml isn't the end of that journey. It's the start.

I built this solo because I wanted it to exist for my own daily use, and I'm going to keep improving it. Claude Code is fully integrated today, Codex is next. If you give it a try, I'd genuinely love your feedback. Come build it with me: discord.gg/EN3qDNbDmH

A few things it does once you're in: - Run many agents at once, all on one dashboard - Every change shows up as a reviewable diff - A real editor, terminal, and full git in one window Native app, under 45MB. No Electron.
