Changed up my ergonomics a bit with a square monitor. Everyone raves about ultra-wide displays, but I’ve never seen the appeal. Having the extra height to fit more tracks on the screen at once, without obstructing the line-of-sight to my speakers, is a huge advantage.

I would take an internship with Tim Rodier of Omni Music Publishing in a heartbeat. One of the most generous and giving people I know. Started the company by himself, with nothing and still runs it - by himself. I LOVE those scores and value the insane work that goes into producing them. Tim has availed himself and his decades of experience, dating back to his work at the long-gone MGM library to anyone who is interested in learning the craft of typesetting and orchestration in an internship setting. Could lead to an awesome job with an awesome dude.

A similar agreement could happen with an actor, where they‘re commissioned to be modelled for AI usage - it would just be about licensing. The problem with AI art is the indirect stealing of source material

AI capturing an actor’s image and then using it in perpetuity. Totally nuts. BUT, isn’t it the same as sampling in a musical context? What can we learn from @SpitfireAudio and the likes about making sure artists are correctly and appropriately reimbursed?

@SamHulick That’s a good library though. The award for silly sample library file size goes to Spitfire Abbey Road Two…300GB for just a string quartet. It’s so big the loading times make it completely unusable.

@_dankeen @favebandfizz How is that man still going, what a wonderful human being and what a remarkable brain. Honestly, I get the Indiana Jones hype of course, but I’ll be going to see it to hear him. Could be the last time we hear his work in a new film and at the cinema. Treasure it while you can!

I'm seeing a trend in music this year - people are making stuff because it's fun. @favebandfizz is a prime example. This Indiana Jones soundtrack is also beautiful
