Years ago, I tried learning how to code. I even used @replit about four years ago, and it felt really difficult. Now with AI, it feels like anything is possible.
This was my first time using Codex, and I assumed it would be way too tough. But building with Make Something was surprisingly easy. Watching the live stream made it even more fun, and now I’m excited to see what I can create next. I’ve used a bit of Claude and Claude Code before, but I was still intimidated by the terminal and didn’t go very deep. This felt like one of the best introductions because it pushes you to actually try things instead of just watching.

@_docwilliams @mattyp I just got the Replit agent to install the remotion package and iterated with the agent until I was happy. I used image assets I already had. It built me a simple app so I could see the video output. I added the TV style fade out close and music in Capcut.

personal software is such a fugazi. they're building tiktok-level dopamine machines that make you feel like a god while building useless throwaway apps. similar to tok, they lower the barrier to entry for creators, but i think the interest curve decays much faster than short-form video creation/consumption. how many times is bro gonna make personal software for tracking reps at the gym?
