Introducing our AI co-scientist, a multi-agent AI system built with Gemini 2.0. We think of it as a virtual collaborator for scientists, using advanced reasoning to synthesize a huge amount of literature, generate novel hypotheses, and suggest detailed research plans. We’re seeing promising early results in important research areas like liver fibrosis treatments, antimicrobial resistance, and drug repurposing. As a next step, we’re opening up a trusted tester program for scientists around the world.

Huge thanks to our exceptional collaborators at @StanfordMed, @imperialcollege and Fleming, Sequome and Houston Methodist including @_e_d_v_ and @OpsBug. Further, many exceptional scientists and minds across several amazing science and research institutions have already been collaborating with us over the past year and we are excited to share more results soon.

Our paper[1] is on the cover[2] of Nature! Thank you @Nature, for featuring our work on the cover and @MKrzywinski, for the cover art. [1] Paper: nature.com/articles/s4158… [2] Cover: nature.com/nature/volumes…

'The evolution, evolvability and engineering of gene regulatory DNA' Our paper(nature.com/articles/s4158…) presents a general framework for understanding and designing gene regulatory DNA sequences, built around an ‘oracle’ that predicts gene expression given a DNA sequence. 1/n
