Ojiro is reporting that hundreds of anti riot police officers have been deployed in Gem. On the 5th of February 2026, the High Court at Siaya issued Conservatory Orders stopping the operations, illegal eviction and any other meeting related to gold mining in Gem Ramula. The mining company illegally proceeded with illegal meetings in the month of March and using police to threaten and intimidate locals.

@Safaricom_Care I've been told so for over a week, what's the alternative solution? I work from home and I can't work now. Internet is working well on phone and not the 5G Wi-Fi. Need a clear way forward but will request for an extention of the service for the days I've not been using the net.
