@redrum_2001 It’s so much more convenient than dealing with X’s inability to manage spaces on an iPad, there’s minimal delay before you release them, the editing is pretty slick, and there’s a reason to listen to the end for the “waffles.” What’s not to like?

@CytoplasmicANA What @CatSE___ApeX___ said was analogous to: “If you want to invent a way to make spaghetti on the go, first learn how to heat and boil water on a stove that doesn’t move. Don’t try to boil water in a jet fighter first.” How’s that controversial?

$RKLB For anyone curious how Rocket Lab is building Neutron's carbon composite parts so fast: "AFP stands for Automated Fibre Placement. It's essentially an industrial process that massively accelerates the laying down of carbon fibre onto a mould to build large carbon structures." "Currently it takes a large team several weeks to build a Stage 2 dome, whereas this machine will be able to punch it out in 24 hours." "So this machine also includes a fully automated real-time inspection system. This is really important for composite parts because they're made up of so many layers. So it'll search for minuscule defects as it goes along and will notify the operators of any issues before it starts on the next layer. It means that we can sort of maintain our really high quality standards for spaceflight structures."

$RKLB For anyone concerned that Rocket Lab is building Neutron out of carbon composite. "I don't view the carbon composite as by far any of the largest risk at all. We just have so much knowledge and experience, and I've been building carbon fibre everything forever" "If you don't know what you're building it's a real problem. If you know exactly what you're building then it's great" — Sir Peter Beck, CEO of Rocket Lab

Yes - he tried to get a consulting gig about 6+ years ago and the Company spurned him when he wouldn't sign an NDA. He's been on a war path since then. He's hired by legacy satellite companies to do their dirty work and spread their narratives. Guy has to make a living, and this is how he does it. SpaceX obviously would never hire a consultant, so as you could imagine, they were also given the "non-paying customer" treatment. Then, SpaceX became so obviously successful than Tim had to join the bandwagon or he'd effectively be the caveman denying the value of fire or the bronze tool.

$ASTS: An old post worth revisiting about America’s inverse space consultant @TMFAssociates or better known as Dim Spacebar
Anp🅰️nman@spacanpanman

$ASTS: I know of only one instance where Tim Farrar admitted that he was wrong. For many years he predicted the failure of Starlink fixed wireless service based on the notion that because everything that had come before failed, it too must also fail! Guess what Tim, technology and end markets change! Novel concept right? As you can see in his blog post below in 2022, not only did he admit he was wrong about Starlink's impending failure, but in the same post he declares Starlink the unbeatable winner! How do you flip like that?!?! You flip when you've been dead ass wrong the entire time and it's so obvious that people completely ignore your advice! I know it's hard to avoid this guy's garbage takes because he's always writing negative pieces on AST SpaceMobile. You know, he's trying very hard to stay relevant. But just know who you're dealing with. He's an industry consultant who's business model is built on being a FUD merchant. He gets quoted in as many articles as possible, tries to sow seeds of doubt about every industry player and then tries very, very, very hard to get hired by new companies or investors (who don't know any better) in the sector for $x / hour to explain why he is right and everyone else is wrong. Tough business right? Well that's why this guy is just a nasty person. Just look at his twitter. Find one positive post. I challenge everyone ... take a deep look and you'll see what kind of person he is.

@thekookreport Those our big satellites. Makes me wonder why they ship them to Space-X when Tim Farrar says they can not fit inside it’s fairing? Perhaps he got something wrong?

Crazy, but true...Abel pushed out this PR today because he wanted me to release the Tanner Kirk Ottaway magazine covers so he could have some laughs over the weekend. A deal is a deal. Hope the MMs don't attack the stock into the close...keep $100! $ASTS

I started from relatively simple means. Grew up in a Ryan home. Parents went bankrupt. Hocked myself to my eyeballs in debt to go to a state college in a technical field and kept accumulating interest in grad school. Got married to a woman who’s way smarter than me. Got jobs, got laid off. Learned about $ASTS, other asymmetric opportunities, and investing on Twitter. Read The DD. Listen to podcasts and spaces. Ignore Cramer. Hold hold hold. Pare here and there for major quality of life improvements. Above all else: Gratitude, kindness, curiosity, avoid hubris.

That’s the entire point. Incentivize people to learn and put in the work rather than just boxing the general pop as average and don’t know any better/wont get anywhere. You go to college to get a degree in any field and your future is a blank canvas. If you work hard and push yourself you’ll go places.. nothing guaranteed ofc but you have to try. The same applies here.

Communist Propaganda The entire premise assumes markets are a closed system where everyone has equal information, equal skill, and equal discipline, so just flatten yourself into the index. You’re not special, don’t try, submit to the collective, the average outcome is the best you can hope for. It’s the equivalent of telling everyone to earn the same wage because wage competition is stressful and most people lose. Capitalism actually rewards differentiated effort and information asymmetry. If you do the work, you should get paid for that. That’s the whole point.
Mikli@CryptoMikli

Kevin O’Leary says almost nobody can beat the S&P 500 by picking individual stocks “If you think you’re so good that you can pick stocks and beat the index, give it a try and learn the hard way. Virtually nobody beats the index” “What you should do is make it easy for yourself. Maybe put $1,000 into one account where you pick stocks, and another $1,000 into SPY, the ETF that tracks the entire S&P 500” “And then you’ll find out the hard way that you’re not that good. 90% of the time, you can’t beat it, so you might as well join it and stop trying to pick stocks”
