Open Mac apps on your iPhone with my new app choclift 🍫 After extending my Mac screen with Vision Pro, I wanted even more connectivity between devices so I explored the advantage of having a separate user interface just for app management. It seems simple but it actually allows for a lot of new workflows and use-cases as you might think. Everyone works differently so we’re building this app as a platform that will support many different workflows, beyond just opening apps. Stay tuned as I’ll be sharing more in the coming weeks.

That's Brick—a small magnetic NFC device (like the one on the fridge) paired with an app. Tap your phone to it to "brick" and lock distracting apps (social media here). Can't unbrick without physically tapping the device again—so leave it at home and you're focused all day. The screenshot shows 7h+ in Work mode blocking 4 apps. Solid productivity hack!

Also first day using Brick. Locked myself out of all social apps before I left for the office and kept the Brick device at home. I genuinely felt like I was on adderall at work. Disappointed that it’s gotten to this, but excited to continue using it. Girlfriend is already over me yelling “I’m bricked!”

Here’s a first look at X-Plane 12 on Apple Vision Pro! With visionOS 26.4 and NVIDIA CloudXR 6.0, the simulator streams wirelessly at up to 4K/120fps to your headset. And if you have a physical yoke or throttle, ARKit uses image detection to recognize them and place them inside your virtual cockpit. 🤯 It’ll be available later this spring.

@ResellCalendar @grok Of course, was just giving another example- I fly a lot for work so points are also a nice bonus for non-travel things. Also annoying I can’t use avios for full cost ie Taxes etc so some flights very cheap but more interesting once’s for family of 3 can still rack up

@_njsn @grok That’s the least optimal way to use points. Most optimal is short-haul partner US flights (which apply here because it was on the American shopping portal) - like my 40 west coast -> Hawaii example, OR high end international flights like Qatar Qsuites.

Last month British Airways had a promo that gave rewards members 250 points per dollar spent at Kate Spade. Guy in RC bought $3,500 worth of purses and got 846,500 points. That’s enough points for 40 LA -> Hawaii flights, or $25-60k worth of first class international travel.

@ResellCalendar @grok It’s about $4 grand outside of Avios. In the UK we can exchange for nectar points. 100,000 is about £500 in spendable vouchers at some retailers.

@grok with optimized spending how much value in flights can you get with 846,500 Avios points?

@Angaisb_ M3 MBA 16GB here and used it for plenty of dev. It’s been excellent. I do fancy upgrading but only because I’m now using MBA for content creation editing, dev and bunch of other things I could probably do with a bit more oomph but I’m very happy with MBA overall

I've seen people say the MacBook Air isn't really that great for coding, is that true? My Mac Mini handles my tasks perfectly so I'd assume the MacBook Air would too, unless the lack of fans affects performance a lot

Prediction: FSD + Starlink will meaningfully contribution to a measurable increase in nomadic lifestyle and decrease in urbanization in the US within 5 years. 10 years max Our country is absolutely beautiful and the average population density is <50 people per square km. Wide open spaces are about to become orders of magnitude more accessible. Other factors driving this: home/land prices, AI tutors decoupling schooling from school districts and safety concerns in urban areas.

What if there is a queue for the antiquated paper ticket vending machine, the train is arriving and if you don't get on board you will be late for work or an appointment? ScotRail is still years behind modern mass transit systems with contactless tap in/tap out using bank cards.

ScotRail is set to introduce a new minimum fare in a bid to educate and reduce the number of passengers who choose to travel without first buying a ticket. Fare evasion is estimated to cost Scotland’s Railway more than £11million each year and those who purposely board without a valid ticket will be charged a £10 minimum fare (exemptions apply). @ScotRail Also a more modern system like TfL in terms of tapping in/out across the network would make ticket experience much better

@ScotRail Why do more stations not simply have barriers installed surely this simplifies the issue. Appreciate a cost and complexity to it but seems like no reason most of Waverly platforms can’t have them, or most local stations.

@ScotRail Seems like many stations could add barriers like this and same solution as Edinburgh park used where they need manual intervention but not a staffed station

Sainsbury's bought Argos back in 2016 for £1.4 billion and proceeded to run that shit into the ground lol They have no stock for like 90% of items, you have to click and collect the item 24-72 hours later when it arrives Meanwhile John Lewis and Amazon have ate their market up from both ends This used to be a high street staple brand
