There's something missing from the Hasan Piker discourse. Hasan's fans and critics often overlook the most troubling fact about him. The core problem with Hasan Piker is that, on a fundamental level, he doesn't believe in liberal democracy. x.com/CNLiberalism/s…

Hasan Piker promotes authoritarian regimes and political violence. Democrats should be cautious about trying to ally with him. podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/has…

Slotkin hit the nail on the head with this one. Hasan Piker actively antagonizes Democrats at every turn and then gets frustrated when Democrats shun him... give me a break.
POLITICO@politico

Elissa Slotkin hit back after Hasan Piker criticized her for going on Bill Maher's show but not his livestream. "He calls me stupid like every other week," she told our @adamwren. "What normal human being would choose to go on a show when someone calls you stupid every 10 days."

No one in television this decade has given a performance as good as Jon Hamm’s Don Draper and that’s okay. It is a tall task for anyone to pull off the best acting contender in television history.

Hasan defenders always ask for examples of him saying anti-Semitic things and you'll send the clip about rapes on October 7th, or defending the Houthis kidnappings, or the Houthis "music videos", or the inbred comments, and then they just look at you like this

My entire timeline is full of pro-Israel people saying Piker makes many antisemitic statements but they can’t bring themselves to actually quote or link to these many antisemitic statements.

Anyone who would think a statement condemning a terorrist attack on a synagogue is a “risk” is insane and should be fired from the campaign. Any candidate who thinks it’s “leadership” to do the bare minimum is delusional
Mike🇺🇸🇺🇦@CenTexLib

Abdul El-Sayed said on a conference call that members of his team were worried about the supposed “risk” associated with condemning the antisemitic attack on Temple Israel. He says he decided to make the statement because he viewed making the statement as an act of leadership. From the article: “‘It was a risk,’ El-Sayed said. ‘All of our team was really worried about saying something, but leadership is being willing to say the thing if you believe it to be true that nobody else is going to say.’” Additionally, the article contains a link to an unlisted YouTube video. That video is the snippet of the Zoom call where he says this. While he is talking about this, one of the call’s participants comments “the synagogue raised funds for the IDF,” in an apparent effort to justify the attack. El-Sayed ignored this comment, refusing to give oxygen to the idea that there was any sort of justification for the attack. That’s good. But it’s also not good that there are people in high places within his campaign who would believe, let alone say, such a thing. I think Dr. El-Sayed is a good man. But I am supporting McMorrow in this primary, in part because I prefer a campaign that is not staffed by people who waver on whether antisemitism is bad.

Just a reminder that DOGE failed at every possible level: * At the micro level, they misread, misled and straight up lied about many of the 'savings'. They'd announce '500m saved!' and it would be some contract where the money was 98% already spent and already wasn't being renewed. * At the macro level, they didn't impact spending at all. The government spent more in 2025 than 2024. * At the institutional level, they didn't even convince the GOP that deficits are a problem worth caring about. The GOP only signature bill in 2025 exploded the deficit by trillions of dollars. * At a personal level, Elon got run out of town with his tail between his legs. The most notable public facts about the Cracked Coders are that one of them was a mini-Hitler, one was called 'big balls', and none of them bothered to learn how the government actually works before they set it on fire. They gutted a bunch of important institutions, fired whole departments at random, decimated medical research funding, killed millions of people dependent on USAID, and still failed at every possible level.

this discourse is one of the biggest mass psychosis events i think i’ve witnessed outside of politics in a long time i genuinely cannot believe how mad people are about his correct comments
Variety@Variety

Misty Copeland, who helped Timothée Chalamet promote #MartySupreme, has weighed in on his comments about ballet and opera: “First I have to say that it’s very interesting that he invited me to be a part of promoting ‘Marty Supreme’ with respect to my art form ... He wouldn’t be an actor and have the opportunities he has as a movie star if it weren’t for opera and ballet and their relevance in that medium. So all of these mediums have a space and we shouldn’t be comparing them.” variety.com/2026/film/glob…

There are really only two possibilities. 1) Platner is among the dumbest politicians who has ever walked this Earth. 2) He is an anti-Semite. There is not really a third option, and both are very bad.

It is kinda funny how defenses of Platner boil down to, “Look, he’s ignorant and just kinda stupid, okay. Now make him a U.S. Senator.”

Trump will, if given the opportunity, end democracy in America. This has been clear for some time. And the vast majority of the GOP will stand aside and let him do it. This is certain to fail in court, but it's horrifying on so many levels that we'd even get to that point.

Gen Z has no conception of consequences for their actions. "I wrote insane things online and now I'm in trouble but it's really the Zionists who are after me just so they can continue their genocide" is a hilarious flavor of brain rot and antisemitism.

This is genuinely how democracies fall into authoritarianism. This is an attempt to end democracy. If you think it's an exaggeration, please ask yourself what you would have thought if Obama had thousands of masked agents killing people in red states, and promised to remove them only if he got control of the state's voting infrastructure.
Chris Murphy 🟧@ChrisMurphyCT

Pam Bondi just sent a letter to Minnesota officials saying ICE will leave if the state turns over its voter database to Trump. Guess what? This has never been about safety or immigration. It’s a pretext for Trump to take over elections in swing states.
