I genuinely dislike seeing people who aren’t even reading Hunter x Hunter’s current arc give their opinions on the direction of the series. They start questioning everything and implying a bunch of stuff when all those concerns can be answered by simply reading the current arc.

Saying "ODA has yet to finish his FIRST manga BECAUSE he's being stretched thin with OTHER PROJECTS." is nasty work You're clearly framing Oda as greedy mangaka who could have been done with his manga but prefer focusing his time on other projects, whilst poor Togashi who made TWO successful manga is not finished with HxH because of health It's nonsensical because: 1) YYH is not a generational manga (it lasted 3 years, had less than 200 chapters and had a botched ending) 2) Having multiple series isn't as impressive as having the most successful long running battle shonen manga of all time 3) Oda delivers at least 3 chapters per month, whilst he also has serious health issues, went through surgery and was hospitalized but still has given us chapters after chapters that you react to 4) Oda has yet to finish BECAUSE he still has things to tell, he's not tired with his story. He's been progressing the story towards the end, he doesn't want to botch the ending of his series... He's put his life into it so he wants it to end properly

The same thing that makes a lot of people feel smart (telling readers what they should notice themselves) is also what curses the manga to pages and pages of text. Togashi could just leave some to readers and it should work.

@surroshenpai no matter how you look at it, the succession war arc needs a lot of text heavy chapters in order to success structurally. it's not possible to measure if it could've been less or not but sometimes you gotta see the pov of character you aren't that much invested

no way a political thriller has a lot of dialogues and explanations almost like it's how it works in real life and togashi is trying to make it flow as natural as possible. if you struggle to follow it then it's not for you and that's okay, go read something else

Only 2 tried hard to balance MP first and as a result huge parts of single player skills (hexes and half of the miracles) becameq useless.
