@MurrayHillGuy1 Same with LA. But if you say you're in the Industry...

@MurrayHillGuy1 If you tell a girl in a SD bar you're a banker, they think you mean bank teller and you're toast.

There were a few comments (and criticisms) to the effect of:
“If your wife isn’t involved in your finances… then what if something happens to you?”
Here’s how we’re set up:
1) For 20+ years, I’ve maintained a simple spreadsheet that details our net worth by asset and account down to the dollar. I update it quarterly.
2) My wife and two daughters (19 & 21) have access to that document and can see our full financial picture at any time.
3) In the event of death, our estate is planned out in excruciating detail (a 50+ page legal document). We updated this recently to achieve a simple goal:
If something happens to me (or God forbid, both me and my wife), the survivor only needs to make one phone call and everything is taken care of.
4) I also have a substantial amount of life insurance specifically because I’m the sole breadwinner.
5) Most importantly—and this supersedes everything above—there’s a high degree of trust built over three decades. If you can’t trust your partner, then no amount of safeguards is enough and you’ll never truly be able to divide and conquer.

When we got engaged, my wife had lots of credit card debt. She took a second job, moved in with her parents, and made her last payment the month we got married. Then she promptly quit her jobs and hasn’t seen a bill in 28 years. She swipes the card, and it just works. Likewise, I’ve never had to think about the kids’ basic needs or what’s for dinner. That stuff (and a lot more) just happens. This division of duties has made for a great life… but here’s the best part: 🤝 We both think we got the better end of the deal.

@Ange_Amene @katieporterca @XavierBecerra You think you're funny. You're not. Look up "civic integrity" violation.

Thank you to @katieporterca for suspending her campaign of Friday 5pm.
We thank you for your participation and wish you the best!
Please everyone reroute all your time and energy on making sure @XavierBecerra surpasses Tom Steyer & keeps him OUT of office.

@powerfloater @MurrayHillGuy1 Tell me you don't live here without telling me you don't live here.
English

@MurrayHillGuy1 Depends. You go to Ramona and it’s all plastic snobs driving Bentleys and Lambos.

@MurrayHillGuy1 Get up early, the market closes at 1, the world is your oyster.

@MurrayHillGuy1 Better Buzz is mid. Get to Coffee Coffee in Leucadia and you will understand why SD.

@VSkanderbe16456 @MurrayHillGuy1 Same anywhere. And if you were a bum, where would you live?

@_selgreco_ @MurrayHillGuy1 I’m not but the bums in SD are

San Diego (first time ever) field report:
People here are way more fit and somehow don’t make it their entire personality like NYC
Tacos on every corner, all have a line
Everyone’s outside… running, lifting, surfing, doing something. Very active
Girls are effortlessly hot, not trying nearly as hard
No one is in a rush, but everything still gets done
Perfect weather is just… normal here.
Cali vibes are real, packed day today

@MurrayHillGuy1 Major downside, you’re wearing a wetsuit into May.
English

@RamboVanHalen @quantumsylph It takes 20 minutes to get anywhere in LA.
English

@quantumsylph People who live in LA break the city up it into little pieces. It's really like 20 small cities crammed together. You don't drive from one side of LA to the other unless you have a damn good reason. My rule was that if it was longer than a 20 min drive then I didn't need it.

Los Angeles smells good. There's always something blooming. There's the fresh cut grass. There's the ocean too. Even the smog--the solution--it smells good.
It's a warm place. You could walk around naked. Clothing is a cultural formality, not a utility.
The seasons are barely perceptible, so it's easy to lose track of time. You get sucked in and years go by.
It's a seductive place.
And those who aren't immediately repulsed will be seduced.

@MurrayHillGuy1 San Diego is depressing. There’s literally one little main area and the rest is dead for miles
English

@SkylarTheBoss @danielrpopper That was in the olden days. Take a look at what the NIL is doing to the draft. Major impact rounds four and later.
English

@_selgreco_ @danielrpopper Uhhh some of the best players of all time were day 3 or undrafted.. AB, Tom Brady, Antonio Gates.. Come on, bro..
English

The Philadelphia Eagles just drafted one of the most fascinating players in the 2026 NFL Draft in Miami OT, Markel Bell.
He is 6'9'', 346 lbs., 87 INCH WINGSPAN and ran a 5.36 40 yard at the NFL Combine.
Did not give up a sack last year. He played LT and Francis Mauigoa played RT. Great feet for his size.

@YaBoyJericho is Lemon really like that?? I didn’t pay much attention to the WR’s in this draft tbh
