2025 wasn’t about @Lombard_Finance adding features. It was about Bitcoin graduating into infrastructure. Month-by-Month, Lombard pushed $BTC through each layer required to function as productive, credit-grade, institution-ready capital. ... January — Infrastructure foundation > Major protocol upgrade just 4 months post-launch > Native $BTC minting expanded across more EVM chains > Auto-minting shipped for UX > $LBTC bridging live via @chainlink CCIP > BFT implementation for the Lombard Security Consortium > Lombard crossed $1B TVL to become the fastest $BTC staking protocol to do so February — Security went institutional > Lombard Security Consortium officially launched, 14 institutions joined at genesis: Galaxy, OKX, Wintermute, Antpool, F2Pool, Figment, Chorus One, Kiln, P2P, Nansen, and more > First production deployment of decentralized, institution-backed $BTC liquidity security > Lombard's @KaitoAI yapper leaderboard launched ($1–5M rewards pool) March — $BTC goes multi-chain, seriously > $LBTC launched on @SuiNetwork with native minting from $BTC > @babylonlabs_io Genesis chain + $BABY token launched and $LBTC holders will be eligible for $BABY > $LBTC crossed 0.1% of total $BTC supply (“0.1% Club”) April — Staking Becomes Composable > Babylon Genesis live + $BABY airdrop for $LBTC stakers > $LBTC SDK launched for wallets, exchanges, and staking platforms > Permissionless $BTC staking went live > 5,000+ $BTC staked into Babylon via Lombard > @EigenFoundation partnership announced → $LBTC becomes first $BTC asset in restaking May — Yield Gets Institutional > @SentoraHQ DeFi Vault launched: - Targeting ~6% APY on $LBTC/$wBTC - Institutional-grade risk engine (Sentora / IntoTheBlock) - No lockups, multi-strategy, cross-ecosystem yield > Ambassador Program launched ($150K+ pool) June — BTC choice architecture > First Lombard Ambassador cohort announced > @katana mainnet launched with $LBTC and $BTCK integrated into katana's core apps > @SushiSwap + @MorphoLabs integrations live for both $LBTC and $BTCK July — Yield Upgrade Announced > Yield-bearing $LBTC upgrade announced > Native BTC-denominated yield without breaking liquidity or DeFi compatibility August — Yield goes live + governance arrives > August 11: $LBTC starts accruing $BTC yield > Liquid Bitcoin Foundation announced > $BARD introduced as Lombard’s native token > Pre-launch Community Sale via @buidlpad September — $BARD + credit plumbing > $BARD contribution stage went live (133K subscriptions, 28K+ verified users) > Economically secured cross-chain bridging announced: @chainlink CCIP + @symbioticfi > Sept 18: $BARD token went live with major exchange listings > KODA partnership (Korea institutional custody) > Ambassador Cohort 2 applications opened October — Bitcoin Enters Capital Markets > $LBTC live on Starknet (1% APY + STRK incentives) > @BotanixLabs collaboration launched > Lombard joined Canton Network as validator > @capapp partnership: $LBTC restaking secures institutional USD loans > $BTC.b acquisition from Avalon ($538M supply) > $LBTC powers @ResolvLabs $BTC Cluster, backing $312M USR > Partnered with @storyprotocol to bring Bitcoin payments to the creator economy. > @SocieteGenerale's SG-FORGE accepts $LBTC as collateral for MiCA-compliant loans > Ambassador Cohort 2 announced November — BTC standards consolidation > SmartCon presence + Chainlink CCIP narrative > $BTC.b launches as canonical BTC on Katana > Dual-asset $BTC strategy validated at chain level December — Settlement layer unlocked > @stable mainnet launched and $BTC.b selected as canonical $BTC for @stable > $BTC-backed stablecoin liquidity goes live > 21-day Lux campaign launched > Big Christmas Drop: 12 badges in 12 days ... 2025 will be remembered as the year Lombard quietly built the rails for Bitcoin to actually be used; staked, secured, lent, and settled. Not hype. Just BTCfi infrastructure that now exists thanks to Lombard.

Not gonna lie but this @perps thing on Solana looks WAY bigger than people realize. Fresh domain registered. Official Solana affiliation already showing up. Perps-focused branding from day 1. Imo Solana finally wants a real shot at the Hyperliquid market. Pretty sure if this turns into a native Solana perps giant, whole ecosystem could run hard from here. What's your expectations from $SOL frens?

Good afternoon fam! A lot of people are still interested in crypto. The problem is that many Web3 products continue to feel too technical and difficult for everyday users to navigate comfortably. The projects getting my attention lately are the ones trying to reduce that friction instead of adding more complexity. @NomismaNetwork → making onchain information feel more structured and easier to work with across ecosystems @TheARCTERMINAL → building AI tools that focus more on practical usage and workflow improvement @useTria → simplifying onboarding and wallet interaction so users can move through ecosystems with less confusion The next stage of adoption probably won’t come from making crypto more complicated. It’ll come from making the experience feel normal enough for anyone to use.

Honestly, I think crypto is slowly reaching a point where raw TPS numbers are no longer enough to impress people. A blockchain can process thousands of transactions and still struggle with : • Coordination • Storage efficiency • Indexing • Interoperability • Real usability That’s why @NomismaNetwork caught my attention! The architecture feels focused on systems design instead of just performance marketing. The combination of relational storage, coordinated subchains, and AI compatible infrastructure makes a lot more sense for the direction Web3 is heading. Especially if AI agents become a major part of on chain activity. AI systems don’t just need speed tho, they actually need structured data and predictable execution environments. That’s something most current infrastructure still struggles with. Nomisma feels like it’s trying to solve the coordination layer itself, not just increase throughput numbers!

Honestly, one underrated thing about @NomismaNetwork is the focus on making blockchain infrastructure feel invisible to users. Many people don’t want to think about : • Bridging confusion • Gas fees • Failed transactions • Fragmented apps They just want applications to work smoothly. That’s why Nomisma Web2 like experience approach makes sense to me! → Gasless interactions → Subscription style models → Coordinated subchains → AI compatible architecture Especially if AI driven applications become mainstream later. I also respect that the node roadmap feels gradual and realistic instead of pretending decentralization magically happens overnight. Community nodes → Synchronizing nodes → Validating nodes Step by step scaling usually works better than forcing everything at once, for real. Still early, but I think Nomisma is asking the right infrastructure questions for where crypto is heading next!

The @virtuals_io launchpad just listed its most credible Titan launch to date. @xmaquina goes live in 14 days. And the timing could not be better. 🔹Here is why this matters beyond just the token. Virtuals has built the best AI/Robotics launchpad not just on @Base, but in the whole of crypto. And what the ecosystem needs is a project that pulls in a completely new class of participants. Not degens rotating between agents. Real capital. Institutions, robotics investors, and Physical AI followers who have never touched Virtuals before. 🔹XMAQUINA brings that. ➜ DAO treasury backed by equity in Figure AI, Apptronik, 1X Technologies, Agility Robotics and Neura Robotics ➜ Over $10M raised across five sold-out Genesis Auctions ➜ VCs and retail on identical terms, no preferential access ➜ First Virtuals Titan launch anchored on an Aerodrome liquidity pool ⇁ Over $1m in liquidity seeded at launch, locked for 10 years This is not a your typical AI play. This is a robotics capital markets protocol launching on Base, using $VIRTUAL as its paired asset. Every trade on $DEUS flows through the DEUS/VIRTUAL pool. That is direct, structural buy pressure on $VIRTUAL from a market that has nothing to do with agent hype. New narrative. New participants. New capital entering the ecosystem. What happens to $VIRTUAL when a trillion-dollar asset class starts routing its liquidity through it? And if you have been waiting for the catalyst that brings fresh eyes to the ecosystem, is this not exactly what that looks like? 14 days. Position accordingly...

How do you sell an entire fake airport for $242 MILLION one legend from Nigeria did that 😭 Emmanuel Nwude was a Nigerian businessman and former director at Union Bank of Nigeria In The 1990s, he pretended to be Nigeria’s Central Bank governor and claimed they needed $242 million for a fake airport project in Abuja from Brazil’s Banco Noroeste He and his partners faked documents, companies, and fake government officials to convince a bank director Nelson Sakaguchi to keep sending money The fraud lasted for 3 years before authorities discovered the bank had lost hundreds of millions of dollars The case involved international investigations across several countries, the EFCC arrested Nwude in 2004, he was sentenced to 25 years in prison with many of his assets seized and over $52M recovered he was released after two years In 2026, he got convicted again in Lagos for falsification and illegally dealing with properties connected to the original fraud case

4 whales buying $17m $ETH sounds bullish until you realize $ETH trades billions daily. The real signal: $ETH exchange netflows hit -18.7k $ETH while repeated size keeps showing up sub-$2.3k. That looks more like passive inventory accumulation than breakout positioning. Large bids ≠ trend reversal yet.

My mental model for DeFi risk was wrong for a long time. Check the contracts, review the audits, confirm the TVL — job done. That was the framework. Then @RDNTCapital and @Bybit_Official happened. Radiant Capital, October 2024. ~$53M. Three multisig signers had their devices compromised via malware. Attackers collected enough valid signatures to push a malicious upgrade. The signers saw normal transactions on their screens the whole time. The contracts were clean. The audit would’ve passed. Neither mattered. Bybit, February 2025. ~$1.4B. Largest crypto theft ever recorded. Not a contract bug either. Attackers poisoned the Safe signing interface. What the signers saw looked routine. What they were actually signing wasn’t. By the time anyone noticed, it was over. Two incidents. Two different attack paths. One common thread — the exploit lived in the layer nobody audits: → What does a signer actually see on their hardware wallet screen? → Who controls the frontend constructing the transaction? → Who can push an upgrade, and what does that process look like end to end? AI is making contract audits faster and better. But Radiant and Bybit didn’t fall to contract bugs. They fell to things that don’t show up in a Solidity audit. That’s the gap. There’s a real difference between a protocol that’s trust-minimized by design and one that works because a small group can move fast when things break. Both have a place. But they carry different risks and deserve different frameworks. The label “DeFi” has been doing too much work for too long. Users will stop asking “was it audited” and start asking “where does the trust actually live.” That’s a healthier market. It just takes pain to get there. #defi

Last 7d, @HyperliquidX continued dominating perp DEX flow with weekly volume pushing above $50B. Meanwhile: • dYdX remains strong with deep pro-trader liquidity • GMX still owns a large share of Arbitrum perp activity • Jupiter keeps expanding Solana-native perps • Vertex Protocol continues growing its hybrid orderbook model The bigger shift: Perp DEXs are no longer competing on “being decentralized.” They’re competing on execution quality, liquidity depth, and trader retention. And right now, Hyperliquid is setting the pace for the entire sector.

Most people still analyze crypto through price action alone. That’s why they keep missing the bigger transition happening underneath the market. Crypto is evolving into the infrastructure layer for four massive digital economies growing at the same time: • RWA • DeFi • AI • GameFi And the lines between them are starting to disappear. ▣ RWA — Bringing Real Capital Onchain RWA may become the biggest liquidity unlock crypto has ever seen. Projects like @OndoFinance, @buildonplume, @ethena_labs, and @MakerDAO are pushing: • tokenized treasuries • private credit • yield-bearing assets • programmable collateral The real breakthrough is composability. Once assets move onchain, they can plug directly into DeFi liquidity, lending, and settlement systems. Stablecoins started the transition. RWAs are scaling it. Personally, I think the market still underestimates how massive this becomes once traditional capital starts treating blockchain rails as cheaper and faster distribution infrastructure. ▣ DeFi — Becoming Real Financial Infrastructure DeFi didn’t die. The inefficient models did. Projects like @Aave, @Uniswap, @HyperliquidX, @MorphoLabs, and @pendle_fi are evolving beyond speculative yield farming into: • liquidity infrastructure • perpetual markets • payment rails • stablecoin networks • cross-chain settlement The next phase of DeFi will likely be driven by: revenue, liquidity depth, and real usage. I also think the strongest DeFi protocols are slowly becoming internet-native financial institutions. ▣ AI — Crypto’s Most Undervalued Narrative AI and crypto are converging faster than most people realize. Projects like: • @Bittensor_@RenderNetwork@AethirCloud@Virtuals_io are building decentralized compute, AI coordination, and agent-driven systems directly onchain. Crypto gives AI an economic layer. AI gives crypto an execution layer. To me, this may become one of the most important narratives of the next cycle because autonomous agents eventually need permissionless payment and coordination systems. ▣ GameFi — Digital Ownership Finally Maturing The first GameFi wave focused too much on extraction instead of gameplay. Now ecosystems like @Immutable, @Ronin_Network, and @ParallelTCG are pushing toward: • player-owned assets • digital economies • tradable ownership • creator marketplaces The future of crypto is no longer just about speculation. It’s becoming the infrastructure layer for digital economies at global scale.
