X algorithm is holding back small accounts - and it’s creating a huge problem. Right now, a post only gets pushed to the For You feed if it quickly racks up likes and comments. The platform basically decides “this post is interesting” only after it already proves it’s interesting. But here’s the paradox: If you have just a few dozen followers, even your best content has almost zero chance of generating that initial engagement. No matter how good the post is, it stays invisible to everyone else. The result? Thousands of low-quality, AI-generated replies flooding every big tweet just so creators can get some visibility. It’s spammy, annoying, and bad for the platform. What if we borrowed TikTok’s smart approach? Even accounts with 0 followers get their post shown to a small potential audience (100–300 people). If it performs well, the algorithm scales it: 300 → 1K → 10K → 100K+ impressions. Purely based on how good the content actually is. Small creators could finally focus on making great posts instead of spamming or gaming the system. A genuinely strong tweet could grow an account from 0 to several thousand followers in days - not months. Everyone wins: - X gets way more high-quality content and motivated creators - Users will stop wasting time on shady growth tactics, stop chasing follower counts, and focus on the quality of their content. The platform becomes fairer, cleaner, and actually fun again @elonmusk @nikitabier

It’s a shame that the fight against spam and bots on @X is going too far and hitting normal users. Especially if you’ve just created an account - for some time, you’re treated as highly suspicious no matter how you behave. I’ve been on the platform for about 10 days, I don’t spam, I use it normally, yet X still flags me as “likely spam,” and my replies get hidden. What’s even more confusing is that Twitter itself encourages you to like more posts to improve your “For You” feed - but doing that can trigger warnings. I’ve already received a red flag once (luckily it was removed after an appeal), and a couple of times I’ve been asked to verify that I’m not a robot. It honestly feels like the system is telling you: “you’re new, stay quiet and don’t stand out.” @elonmusk , @nikitabier - it’s time to fix this.

@BasedSamParker I don’t work directly on the algorithm, but for what it’s worth: Nothing matters more to me than smaller posters and niche interests getting visibility. This is why we launched Custom Timelines and have more coming.

Ladies and gentlemen, today we're launching one of our biggest changes to 𝕏 Introducing Custom Timelines This feature allows you to pin a specific topic to your home tab. With support for over 75 topics, you can dive deep into your favorite niche on X. It's powered by Grok's understanding of every post with the algorithm's personalization—meaning every timeline is made just for you. And it works even better when it's a topic you already engage with. This was a huge undertaking across many months, so we're excited for you take it for a spin. We're giving early access to Premium subscribers on iOS (and Android coming very soon).

@shiri_shh Hey @Grok, how much of Apple's profit was reinvested into the company's development, and how much was spent on share buybacks under Steve Jobs versus under Tim Cook?

At 15 years old, Liv Perrotto’s biggest dream was to meet @elonmusk. She had even written out a list of questions to ask him. Her mother @rebeccaperrotto told me that just days before she passed away from cancer, she had a chance to speak with Elon, but she was too tired and asked him to call later. The questions still sit on her nightstand, unanswered. Liv's mother shared them with me in hopes that Elon would change that today. 1) Are you going to make your own phone? 2) Are you expanding the Tesla Diner to new areas? 3) Will there be any new games with any upcoming Tesla updates? 4) What is your favorite anime? 5) Have you ever been to Japan? What was your favorite place/thing there? 6) Do you know who Hatsune Miku is? 7) Was Ani inspired from Misa from Death Note? 8) Can you make Asteroid (the Shiba Inu zero-g indicator she designed for the Polaris Dawn mission) the mascot for SpaceX?
