@TooNDaAlpha @SharpFootball a game winning drive has nothing to do with play calling? a problem with gwd is exactly that qb play from the rest of the game is irrelevant. it inflates the value of the smallest of sample sizes we can agree to disagree. epa seems on par with other qb stats god bless

Garbage time is important. Epa in general is a play calling stat, not a qb play star, result of the game. 3 critical aspects. Gwd is infinitely better with less flaws. For a QB to have a gwd, how they played the whole game is irrelevant. Of they played clutch late to secure the game winning drive.

@questionableway heritability in the post just seems to be pushing back against the idea that people are “born that way”

i fail to see why the heritability (or lack thereof?) of homosexuality should have any bearing on gay rights, let alone trans rights—which is a different group entirely. the assertion we only owes rights & protections to heritable traits is wildly illiberal and unamerican

“libertarian who violently opposes individual freedom of choice and expression” would be a pretty funny bit if you were the first and not the millionth moron to do it
Jeremy Kauffman 🦔🌲🌕@jeremykauffman

Sexual orientation is one of the least hereditary traits. "Gay" or "trans" kids were predominantly not born that way, they were made that way by culture and society. If culture is making kids gay and trans, then it can be used to unmake them too.

@TooNDaAlpha @SharpFootball conversely they could play terrible and end up with a game winning drive just because the other teams offense also did poorly after securing a lead there are flaws to every stat

@jhislop22 @Coach_Yac The concern is more towards the 2 new WRs who need reps and development. Not the money, it would most likely be a 1 year contract im sure

LeSean McCoy says the 49ers were missing a spark last season that Deebo Samuel used to give them when he played there Emmanuel Acho’s response: “I’m not gonna pay a glorified mascot top tier money… If you a hype man, I’m not paying you to be a hype man. I’m paying you to get 1,400 yards. Deebo had 700 last year and he had 670 the year before. The year before that he had 890. At the end of the day Deebo has had 1-1,000 yard receiving season. ONE! JUST ONE! And y’all are telling me we should go 'Let’s make Ricky Pearsall, who we drafted in the first round, let’s just send him to the number 3 WR position'. No, I don’t want to do that.”
Coach Yac 🗣@Coach_Yac

Emmanuel Acho doesn’t believe the 49ers should bring back Deebo Samuel: “When you construct the roster, Deebo would now be the third WR in SF. That WR has to play special teams. You want to know who’s not playing special teams nor should? Deebo Samuel… I’m also not gonna stunt the growth of first round pick, third year player, Ricky Pearsall for Deebo Samuel. Is Deebo talented? Duh, but he’s probably had more 700-yard seasons than he’s had 1,000-yard seasons.” via: @speakeasytlkshw

Sergey Brin is worth $276 billion. He could save healthcare for 3 million people. Instead, he’s spending $82 million against California’s 5% billionaire wealth tax. He’d rather see low-income Americans die & suffer than pay his fair share of taxes. That is a moral obscenity.

@SharpFootball Prop betting - league nerfed these stats because they’re in bed with the books. Same happened with QB passing yardage. You all accepted it was because of new kickoff rule.

Any true patriot has a duty not to let those responsible for service members’ deaths use their sacrifice as cover for still more needless deaths. It makes me genuinely sick that people who were infants or not yet born on 9/11 are now dying in a Middle Eastern war

The data is clear: Grass fields are MUCH SAFER than turf surfaces. George Kittle has been very vocal and passionate about this subject and he's completely right. If FIFA can pay to have beautiful grass surfaces at NFL stadiums that use artificial turf, why can't NFL owners implement grass fields for their own players and teams? What i’ve never understood about this: NFL owners are paying a lot of these players millions of dollars. They are massive investments who make your team better. When good players play, that increases your chances of winning, When you win, you make more money. When they’re hurt, you’re paying a lot of money for players to not play and your team is worse off. Why are you cheaping out on turf? #49ers #NFL

The biggest difference between Brock Purdy and Mac Jones, outside of Purdy's mobility, is that one consistently created explosive plays while the other didn't. (Explosive Pass Rate = percentage of pass plays gaining 20+ yards.)
