New data show over 37 million Americans drink water that exceeds #EPA limits, with more expected as testing continues. Altogether, about 131 million Americans rely on drinking water systems that found some level of #PFAS, which the EPA says is toxic at extremely low levels.

In 2022, only a third of the #SafeStreetsForAll program's rural money went to disadvantaged communities. This year, that leapt to 70%. On the other hand, most urban funding has consistently landed in disadvantaged communities. #SS4A

Great address search tool! Hundreds of drinking water systems exceed new PFAS standards. The @EPA says almost 300 of America’s public drinking water systems exceeded newly established annual limits for "forever chemicals". tinyurl.com/5ymfkfvn by @a_fast @ceciliagarzella

While reviewing the past two decades of @USCG incident investigation reports, we found at least 6,000 cases where massive cargo ships, oil tankers, container barges and even cruise vessels have reported what befell the #Dali: a loss of power, propulsion, or steering. @emily_lecoz

Our analysis also revealed at least 2,600 bridge strikes in U.S. waters since 2002. Three of these incidents were fatal, claiming 16 lives in all. The majority, however, were minor – a ship’s antenna or mast hitting a bridge, or a barge clipping a bridge’s protective fender.
