If you're a northeast aurora chaser, and this impacts today/tonight, this is about as bad as a cloud cover forecast as you can get. Everywhere else looks great!

I've really wanted to get an updated photo of the milky way, but it's been either cloudy, smoky, or a full moon. Maybe at some point it'll happen before the season ends. 🤞

@Bermani22 I've noticed better chances of clearer nights in September and October as well. Plus R-M effect should hopefully provide good aurora opportunities here.

Note: I haven't see anything in CCOR-1. Either the ejecta is narrow and does not expand beyond the blocked area of the sun, or the flare was not eruptive. I'm not confident enough to say either way, but leaning towards not eruptive.

There was a minor flare from AR 4494 that looks like it might be eruptive. This region is just to the west of the central meridian, so an Earth-directed component is possible. Awaiting additional imagery.
