@Konpai_099 It's the other way out-Islamic orthodoxy is fading away Hindutva is on the rise. Yes, in most of the upper Assam muslim population to some extent seems to distance itself from some Assamese culture, and the credit goes to the polarization in Indian society.

While the spotlight is often on Hindutva, we somehow miss the rise of Islamic orthodoxy in Assam. There are legacies of people like Bihu Oza Maimot Tatinga & Senimai, who were Muslims but played a vital role in reviving Bihu through their performances. They symbolized our shared heritage. Sadly, that landscape has completely changed. A friend of mine, who has a PhD from IIT though, chooses not to participate in Bihu dances because she, like many others, considers this dance form as ‘haram’ within her religious beliefs.

@sg_chowdhury Excellent boundary demarcation in delimitation. No one else is harmed here other than the পূৰ্ব বংগীয় ones. Why should we be bothered ? Our state is for its own people, delimitation is the reason we have a constituency like Goalpara(W) reserved for ST.
