This is idiotic. OSAA has no authority over NBI/Law enforcement. NBI could have gone inside the senate hall while in session and arrest Bato, they have every power and authority to under the law with a valid arrest warrant with punishment of conviction far exceeding the required 5-6 year limit. Them standing back was a matter of courtesy, courtesy that they can withdraw anytime. OSAA is not a private military of the Senate President, if NBI wanted to get him even with the protective custody in place, OSAA to ensure peace and safety should only facilitate and assist NBI with the arrest. OSAA absolutely has no authority and power to fire warning shots! The SENATE has no jurisdiction and power over law enforcement. Zero.

@inquirerdotnet If no shooting incident happened, those NBI agents would have taken Bato by force? If their business in GSIS was to secure for d night d precious paintings there, GSIS only had to shut all its doors and gates. No need for long arms+stocks of ammo, body cameras, driver on standby.

'NAGSAGIP SA MGA BUHAY NG NASA LOOB AT LABAS NG SENADO' Sen. Robin Padilla defended the warning shot fired by Acting Sergeant-at-Arms Mao Aplasca at the NBI during the gunfire incident in the Senate on May 13, claiming that his act saved lives and deescalated the situation. @smirkit @IvanAtHome Do you think they are concerned about the public? Not anymore, they are fighting for their immediate political lives. Too much at stake.

@IvanAtHome No coup in the Senate ever happened that was first talked about in media and in SocMed. It usually comes as a surprise. This is usually done to bait the emotions of the public. Wait for the prosecution "walk-out" when their argument gets burried. That would be another bait.

SENATE COUP IMMINENT | CAYETANO OUSTER EYED | ZUBIRI AND SOTTO EYED TO REPLACE After humiliating the Philippine Senate in front of the international media by harboring a senator wanted for crimes against humanity (cultivating at the Sergeant-at-arms opening fire at arresting NBI agents), and then allowing that same senator to escape - a senate coup is now brewing against Senate President Alan Peter Cayetano. From bank of brothers to band of bandits. No honor among thieves! They actively facilitated hiding a criminal in the institutions of the republic and are now stabbing each other in the back. SAD! Now Cayetano will be the SHORTEST Senate President in Philippine history because even his fellow traitors can't deal with the second hand embarrassment with being associated with him. politiko.com.ph/2026/05/18/no-…

| DZRH News

@RockChartrand @Rakeshhkumaar Your goddamn right a starving American deserves food more than a billionaire does a yacht. And I'll fight to the death for that.

Capitalists spent decades mocking “socialist bread lines.” Here’s the bread line under capitalism: 10% of an entire Kentucky town waiting for food in 34-degree weather while billionaires buy another yacht.
Molly Ploofkins@Mollyploofkins

Posted anonymously to Reddit this morning... "In the longest line I have ever seen at our local church food bank, been standing here for an hour, its 34 degrees. A small town in Kentucky with a population of <4800. Basically 10% of the population is waiting at the food bank."

The rich get richer and the poor get poorer when the government rigs the game. That’s political allocation. Bailouts, subsidies, regulation, zoning, central banking, credential licensing, and tax codes written by lobbyists, this is how class stratification is manufactured. Then the same politicians who caused the damage point to the effects of their own intervention and say, “See? Capitalism failed. Now vote for us to control even more.” The poor don’t turn to socialism because of capitalism. They turn to socialism because they’ve never actually seen capitalism. And what fuels that shift is envy dressed up as justice. Resentment doesn’t make anyone’s life better. You don’t rise by hating those who’ve risen. You still have to produce. You still have to create value in the world. The poor aren’t getting poorer, they’re getting richer at a slower rate because the state keeps putting weights on their ankles. Socialists don’t want to help the poor. If they did, they’d support the only system that has ever consistently lifted people out of poverty. What people are rebelling against is the consequence of central planning. And socialism is just more of it.
