@TheKevinDalton What about the tiny home communities in North Hollywood? Were those not funded by state? Maybe city? I know at least one is run by a church group, but thought it was government funding.

@gabbisoong This seems really cool, but I do have to point out that it doesn't actually solve the problem OP posted about costs to license fonts from foundries, if this is just built on top of Google Fonts.

i built arcoty.pe to solve this issue!! arcotype sorts all of the 2000+ fonts on google fonts for the first time by visual similarity + vibe tagging for easier browsing & searching no more defaulting to inter anymore haha

This is the best news that I could have heard today and it was a move that I was really hoping for. I've been extremely happy with @CaptivateAudio as a podcast platform partner and I am excited to integrate HLS video into the workflow.

For years I've been doing this manually for each logo project. Start with an Illustrator file with all my favourite fonts ready to be replaced with the brand name. Or taking a screenshot of the logomark and scrolling through google fonts with the screenshot placed next to the type... Now, @joshpuckett has saved me, and every other designer, hours on each project by creating a tool called Locale. Insane work
