Like I said, it’s fair if Sanchez is demoralized by the hitting. But Walker doesn’t get that benefit here. He’s been significantly worse than the offense for years.

My point is that that reasoning doesn’t work for Walker. Because he’s been bad for years, and the hitters are almost certainly more demoralized when he’s on the mound.

It’s fine to complain about the bats. But yesterday, like every Walker start in recent memory, he was the issue from the start.

The point was that he goes into starts demoralized—but the reason for that is more that he’s been bad for three years now than the offense now stinks.

But there’s really no argument that Walker is thinking that he can’t allow a run more than the team and fans are going into it thinking it’s a scheduled loss. His starts have been a scheduled loss for three years and everyone knows it.

Three of the before the batters even get up to the plate. 19 runs over 18.2 innings. It’s been like this his whole tenure in Philly. What are you even talking about?

Including 16-20 mph over the limit in a 25mph zone (where the driver was almost certainly speeding along and trying to skip traffic on 295). That’s reckless driving. Plenty examples of predatory ticketing…this ain’t it.
