Estoy en Ginebra, asistiendo al consejo de Representantes del @South_Centre en el cual represento a América Latina. En mi intervención planteé varias reflexiones: Hoy el Sur Global ya no es el mismo. Ahora concentra más del 80% de la población mundial y cerca del 50% del PIB. Por eso, no podemos seguir siendo vistos como el “Sur problema” y tenemos que asumirnos como el Sur solución. Propuse la eliminación del veto en Naciones Unidas, construir mayorías democráticas y avanzar hacia un nuevo multilateralismo desde el Sur. No se trata de acabar la ONU, como pretende el norte hegemónico, si no de de transformarla.
