"I can withdraw my support for Peter Obi. Do you people know how much I spent on Peter Obi's 2023 campaign? I met Seyi Tinubu and people started complaining. Has Peter Obi ever appreciated me? If I want, I can start campaigning for President Tinubu. I'm a Yoruba man, and I love President Tinubu and his son." — Isaac Fayose react after facing backlash following his trending video.

“I’ve been seeing a lot of Nigerians saying that I went to meet Seyi Tinubu and that they bribed me with money. Even before that prayer, I made it clear that Peter Obi is my candidate and I will vote for him.” — Isaac Fayose reacts to the backlash he faced after a video of him praying for President Tinubu resurfaced online.

@General_Somto Thanks for standing up for such. Just imagine that others were afraid of confronting the army guy, this tells you how defeated we are mentally, we have made the illegal legal because of fear. I hope the army should look into this and reform their campaign against the citizens.

The level of detail in his account raises serious questions. He narrated the events as though he personally witnessed them or had access to evidence such as CCTV footage. For example, he claimed that "the girl told her boyfriend not to cut her, but he did anyway." If that level of detail is accurate, the public deserves to know the source of the information. Nigerians are asking for transparency, credible evidence, and a thorough investigation—not just a detailed narrative. The family of the young woman deserves justice, and I hope they remain focused on pursuing the truth through due process, regardless of any outside pressure or incentives. This situation also reminds many people of previous unresolved cases, including the disappearance of the five engineers who travelled to Ebonyi State for work. Those cases have contributed to public concern and a desire for greater accountability. Ultimately, the truth should be established through a transparent investigation supported by verifiable evidence, so justice can be served and public confidence restored.

PRESIDENT TINUBU IS INTENTIONALLY REBUILDING THE SOUTH EAST I can’t contain my joy and that of my people regarding the great news from DIKESIMBA Anambra; DIKESIMBA NDIGBO, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR! Certainly, President Tinubu has a date with history, and even more so with the Southeast. He continues to demonstrate his avowed commitment to orchestrating the reconstruction of the Southeast, thereby finally healing the wounds of the Civil War. There are several unprecedented, foundational infrastructural rebirths going on in the Southeast at the moment. We will celebrate the full list later…. But the news from him today is history in itself. I met the President on Wednesday, July 1. The next day, the Hon. Minister for Works and Infrastructure (our own ever-productive and beloved Sen. Dave Umahi) contacted me to send him the details of the roads we had repeatedly discussed. On Friday, July 3rd, I sent him the following two roads: 1. Otuocha–Anam–Abaji (Kogi), about 108km to be dualized; and 2. Oba–Nnewi–Uga–Ihube (Okigwe Junction), connecting Anambra/Imo to the Enugu–PH Road, which also passes through Abia, about 150km to be dualized. Today, 15th July, I received a message from the Min. of Works that the President has graciously approved both roads for “design and procurement”! What can I say? These two roads constitute critical game-changers for the Southeast, South-South and North Central. The man who tamed the Atlantic Ocean in Lagos is certainly redefining politics, and the Southeast won’t be the same again! For me personally, this is why politics makes sense to me: working collaboratively and building alliances to achieve concrete results that improve the lives of the people. Thank you, ASIWAJU! History will be kind to you!!

STATEHOUSE PRESS RELEASE OUR ECONOMY IS ON STEADY GROWTH, SAYS PRESIDENT TINUBU TO DELOITTE AFRICA President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, on Wednesday in Abuja, received commendations from Deloitte Africa for the ongoing financial and fiscal reforms in the country and was encouraged to pursue a stronger partnership that supports investments, youth training, and employment. The President, who received a delegation from Deloitte Africa, led by the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Ruwayda Redfearn, at the State House, said the reforms had steadily stabilised the economy over three years, with growing plaudits for positive development and growth indicators. “We are following the example of Deloitte’s greatness to change things from the foundation, building the necessary future for our people. “Yes, reforms are difficult. It has not been a McDonald’s customer relationship but a harvester of good things, if implemented well, and that is what we are about. “Thank you for your partnership in paying attention to what we are doing here, as we have heard from the Honourable Minister of Finance about the fiscal, revenue and tax reforms that have taken place and are moving the nation forward. “The reforms on revenue will continue to stimulate growth. And the effect of the reform? Yes, some issues are difficult to take the bitter medicine, but it is working well. For the economy, Nigeria is making serious foundational progress,’’ the President said at the meeting, which was also attended by the Minister of Finance, Taiwo Oyedele and the Chairman of the Nigerian Revenue Service, Zacch Adedeji. President Tinubu said the reforms had stimulated the economy, strengthened the fiscal and revenue sectors, repositioned financial institutions, and prepared the country to be more globally relevant and competitive. The President urged Deloitte Africa to improve its impact on the Nigerian economy by training and recruiting the dynamic youth population. “The family of Deloitte; you just reminded me of my cradle years in accountancy and where I cut my childhood accounting teeth in Chicago. Deloitte has a good training programme, and I believe you will continue to reflect that,’’ he stated. The Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Taiwo Oyedele, who spoke on the reforms and impact, urged the leadership of the accounting and business firm to focus on building capacity among the youth. The CEO of Deloitte Africa, Ruwayda Redfearn, said the global organisation is primarily focused on digital and business transformation, with over 500,000 employees worldwide working across various roles and locations, including over 6,000 in Africa. She said the accountancy firm's revenue was $74 billion in 2025. “We are before you to say that we want to serve. We have a local team on the ground that is ready, as well as the global firm, to support you and support your administration as you lead the country,’’ she said. The Chief Executive Officer of Deloitte West Africa, Yomi Olugbenro, assured the President of the firm’s support for the reforms. “We do what we do because of the philosophy that our Africa CEOs talk about – making an impact that matters. Where we are at the moment, we believe that the ground has been solidly laid. There is a need to truly extract more value and deliver the dividends of democracy to ordinary Nigerians on the street. The bigger work is really about how to cascade some of those big reforms further down. “We do believe that with the capabilities that the firm has all over the world, with the half a million people that our CEO spoke about, we have used cases, examples, experiences of how we supported nations all around the world, so Nigeria will definitely benefit from those experiences. "So that is why we are here, and we welcome the invitation that you may grant us as to where exactly you want us to support you,’’ he added. Bayo Onanuga Special Adviser (Information & Strategy) July 15, 2026
