@FrozenOilHockey If it wasn’t for another non-descript player, Louie could have been, like the 4th best Oiler to wear 29.

How many points will Bouchard have to get for anyone to mention his name with elite D and maybe get some Norris votes?

@ExnerPirot @scoopercooper One thing that contributed to the decline was the coal phase out in Alberta. We were always down a couple plants whether they were swapping to NG burners or being replaced completely. That should be done now.

The electricity abundance and affordability that Canada has enjoyed for decades are ending. Generation is down, exports are now imports, and investment is flat. Canada’s impending electricity shortage is not just an affordability crisis; it is an economic and security one as well. Pleased to launch this paper at @ippsaconference today /1 macdonaldlaurier.ca/wp-content/upl…

Something I’ve learned after MacBook Neo launch: - People think 8GB ram is good for nothing and can’t do anything at all. But, I think that’s a long stretch. I am, to this day, still using my 8/256GB M1 MacBook Air. It will be 5 years old this year. And you know what, RAM is rarely a problem. I’m a freelancer and it works just fine for me. A dozen safari tabs, Asana, spreadsheets, multiple Google Docs, Zoom, WhatsApp, and a few other things all running simultaneously — and it works just fine. It even exports a 4K video just fine while all of this is running. Heck, I sometimes even use a UTM windows machine with 4GB allocated to it, and it still works just fine. Maybe all the people complaining about 8GB ram haven’t actually used it…

The moment I realized I was going need to find a tougher test for the MacBook Neo😳

Canadian oil sands royalties scale up with prices. With WTI >US$90/bbl and >C$120/bbl, royalties just rose to 40% of net project revenue for post-payout projects (9% gross for pre-payout)

As you fill up with gas that's now up 20c/litre in a week, remember who profits. Cdn oil companies made $150b after-tax profit after the last oil spike (2022). An excess profit tax redistributed to consumers would ease the pain. My take in @TorontoStar: thestar.com/business/opini…

$52B. Gone. That was a conscious decision by Danielle Smith and before her Kenney.
Katy E 🇨🇦🇺🇦@MargTokar

#CallAnElectionSmith And this is why we have lost over $52B in royalties from a resource that WE OWN since this govt gave O&G a 4% tax break when they were elected. Smith’s priority has always been O&G, not Albertans.

Martyupnorth®- Unacceptable Fact Checker
Gasoline prices in Alberta are now over $1.40/litre across the province. Alberta produces 5 million barrels of oil per day, but only consumes a tenth of that locally. Our supply of gasoline is not at risk. This price increase is pure gouging by reatilers.

Independent analysis reports that Danielle Smith handed out $2 billion annually in various forms of subsidies to the Oil & Gas industry. Meanwhile... Provincial officials did not respond when asked how many seniors will lose provincial benefits of $328 a month.
