Elke dag stroomt ze binnen en misleidt ze de mensen die vechten voor hun rechten. “Er is veel gefoeterd op onze pensioenhervorming”, schrijft @Isoldevde in @HLN_BE. “Maar het loont om eens over het muurtje te kijken. In Nederland ligt de gemiddelde pensioenleeftijd vandaag op 66 jaar en vier maanden. (…) Voor het basispensioen werkt de Nederlander gewoon door tot 67 jaar.” Klopt dat? Neen, helemaal niet. Nederland heeft een volksverzekering, de AOW. Het is een basispensioen dat je krijgt vanaf 66 jaar en 4 maanden als je in Nederland hebt gewoond, ook zonder één dag van héél je leven te hebben gewerkt. Dat basispensioen bedraagt momenteel 1.637,57 euro bruto pér maand voor een alleenstaande die 50 jaar in Nederland heeft gewoond. Wie er bijvoorbeeld 40 jaar heeft gewoond, krijgt 40/50ste. Gevolg: het armoederisico onder gepensioneerden ligt er een pak lager, voor vrouwen de helft lager dan bij ons. Ook de stellingen over Duitsland zijn er stevig naast. “Ook daar zet de vergrijzing het pensioenstelsel zwaar onder druk”, schrijft Van den Eynde. Duitsland heeft een puntensysteem. De pensioenen hangen er rechtstreeks af van de sociale bijdragen. Het pensioenstelsel staat niet onder zware druk. De regering staat onder druk omdat, net zoals hier, heel veel mensen een recht op vervroegd pensioen opeisen voor zij die vroeg zijn beginnen werken in een zwaar beroep en minder lang leven en minder lang in goede gezondheid verkeren dan de mensen die de pensioenleeftijd nóg verder willen optrekken. De selectie van buurlanden in de opinie is tot slot erg eenzijdig. Is Frankrijk géén buurland meer? De pensioenleeftijd ligt er op 64 jaar, met een volledig en veel hoger pensioen na 43 gewerkte jaren. In Luxemburg krijg je na 40 gewerkte jaren een minimumpensioen van maar liefst 2.376,62 euro. Onze pensioenen behoren tot de laagste van West-Europa. De Arizona-regering wil die pensioenen nog verder verlagen. Werknemers zullen 7,2 procent verliezen op een pensioentje van gemiddeld 1.565 euro netto per maand. Wie niet langer kan werken, zal nog méér verliezen. Ja, dat is inderdaad “sociale horror” voor mensen met een gemiddeld. Het is ook een fundamenteel gebrek aan respect voor mensen die hun leven lang hebben bijgedragen aan de welvaart van onze samenleving. #hetkananders
