$NBIS cofounder @romanchernin describes how their recent acquisitions of Eigen AI and Clarifai were all about speed, incredible talent, and acceleration: "The philosophy is very simple. We need to build so many things, and we need to move so fast, that we're always looking for people who can accelerate us. It should be exceptional talent, and/or something that has a great adoption." "Our two recent acquisitions [were] two teams that work on inference optimization. A big part of our business is how efficiently we convert GPUs into tokens. And these two teams — Eigen AI and Clarifai — one is focused on model optimization, the engine of inference. How you run specific models and all the techniques around spec decoding, quantization, and so on." "And the other is system optimization. All the routing, KV caching, and orchestration across the big cluster of compute and so on." "We have a very strong internal team working on inference. But we felt that we needed to move faster, bring more capabilities. Because the market is so fast."

One-quarter of the global economy is industrial and more than half of production costs still come from labor. That's because traditional robots can only handle what they've been explicitly programmed to do. @RJScaringe is building one of the world's leading industrial robotics platforms, combining foundation models, robust hardware, and deployment infrastructure to automate dexterous, reasoning-intensive manufacturing tasks at scale. This is just the beginning for Mind Robotics.

The time to harden critical OSS projects is now. Frontier level exploitation abilities will soon be in the hands of attackers, thats why we must put it in the hands of the critical projects now. Proud to see depthfirst launching the Open Defense Initiative to support this work
QM@qasimmith

Today we're launching the Open Defense Initiative: up to $5 million in @depthfirstlabs credits for critical open source projects to find and fix real, exploitable vulnerabilities. The timing matters: frontier models can autonomously discover and exploit vulnerabilities in widely-reviewed codebases. Open source models will catch up soon, and when they do, bad actors will have unfiltered access to these capabilities. We have a narrow window to harden critical software before that happens. This is the time to act, but until today frontier-level security, like what Mythos offers, has been reserved for a handful of large companies who are required to pay a lot for access. depthfirst is not only comparable in performance but also goes significantly beyond surface level findings, highlighting real, exploitable vulnerabilities due to its understanding of the system’s context and ability to verify like an attacker would. depthfirst found vulnerabilities in FFmpeg that Mythos missed, at a tenth of Anthropic's self reported spend. We want every defender to have these capabilities, starting with the open source projects the world runs on. If you maintain a critical open source project, apply for Open Defense credits through the form in the comments.

Billions of dollars are spent each year developing life-saving medicines, but they don’t always reach the patients who need them. @forushq, founded by @sahirjaggi, is solving this with AI that reduces the administrative burden that drives physicians to burnout and delays patient care. Today, we announced that we’re leading Forus’s Series B. Read more about our commitment to modern medicine: accel.com/noteworthies/b…

The average drug takes 10–15 years and $2.6B to reach patients — and even then, many who need it never receive it. A patient can have the right doctor, the right diagnosis, and the right medicine, and still not get treated. @forushq is fixing that with an AI-powered network already used by thousands of practices.
Forus@forushq

Today we’re introducing Forus and announcing $160M to build the foundation for modern medicine. Science should be the only limit to medicine. Today it isn’t. Drug discovery is moving faster, but the system that turns it into real-world treatment isn’t. forus.com/blog/forus-ann…

Most enterprise AI is built for the Fortune 500. That leaves much of the “real economy”—home services companies, industrial services firms, healthcare operators, and construction companies—still waiting for tools that work in their environments. @TheCiridae, founded by @JackSoslow and @weissenberger_j, is building AI operating systems for exactly these businesses. Accel's @ChristineEsser explains why we led their seed round, and why the "meaty middle" of the economy is one of the most underserved corners of AI right now: accel.com/noteworthies/o…

We @Accel are excited to have led the seed round in @getnova_ai, and deepen our partnership with @EmmaQian_, @samuely4ng, and @dr_zeier as they announce their $31.5M Series A (and $40M in total funding), led by our friends at @chemistry (@kshenster). Nova is building the leading AI development platform that enables enterprises to generate and transform complex software using natural language - starting with SAP. Instead of writing code line by line, teams can describe problems, workflows, and business logic directly, and Nova instantly translates it into working implementations. This also means everybody on the team can now engage with code, from engineers to functional analysts, resulting in faster development cycles, lower costs, and a fundamentally more scalable approach to enterprise software adoption. We believe this is the beginning of a much larger shift. As AI moves deeper into the enterprise, the opportunity is not just to accelerate coding, but to redefine how business systems are built, customized, and maintained. Hear more about the vision directly from @EmmaQian_ and @samuely4ng

Thrilled to be working with RadixArk — recent addition to the NVIDIA Ventures portfolio
RadixArk@radixark

Today, we are thrilled to officially launch RadixArk with $100M in Seed funding at a $400M valuation. The round was led by @Accel and co-led by @sparkcapital. RadixArk exists to make frontier AI infrastructure open and accessible to everyone. Today, the systems behind the most capable AI models are concentrated in a small number of companies. As a result, most AI teams are forced to rebuild training and inference stacks from scratch, duplicating the same infrastructure work instead of focusing on new models, products, and ideas. RadixArk was founded to change that. We are building an AI platform that makes it easier for teams to train and serve the best models at scale. RadixArk comes from the open-source community. We started with SGLang, where many of us are core developers and maintainers, and expanded our work to Miles for large-scale RL and post-training. We will continue contributing to both projects and working with the community to make them the strongest open-source infrastructure foundations for frontier AI. We would like to thank our long-term partners, contributors, and the broader SGLang community for believing in this mission. We're also grateful to @Accel and @sparkcapital, NVentures (Venture capital arm of @nvidia), Salience Capital, A&E Investment, @HOFCapital, @walden_catalyst, @AMD, LDVP, WTT Fubon Family, @MediaTek, Vocal Ventures, @Sky9Capital and our angel investors @ibab, @LipBuTan1, Hock Tan, @johnschulman2, @soumithchintala, @lilianweng, @oliveur, @Thom_Wolf, @LiamFedus, @robertnishihara, @ericzelikman, @OfficialLoganK, and @multiply_matrix among others. Thanks for the exclusive interview with @MeghanBobrowsky at @WSJ about our vision.

For years, the most cutting-edge AI infrastructure has been concentrated inside a handful of frontier labs. Advances like test-time reasoning, reinforcement learning, and the rise of high-quality open source models are changing this dynamic. This shift creates a new opportunity to build foundational infrastructure for operating AI models—an open inference engine combined with flexible systems that give developers full control over how models are trained and deployed. That's exactly what @radixark is building. We are proud to back founders @ying11231 and @BanghuaZ, who have a long track record of creating and maintaining some of the most widely adopted open source projects in AI.
