Ugh. I just heard Behroush Sharifi, the Saffron King, died last week. He used to deliver the most incredible ingredients, like hedysarum manna, on his bike. What a character he was. Ugh.

@russellwarnick Inaho in Yarmouthport (15 min from Hyannis)... Four Seas ice cream (15 min from Hyannis)... my favorite fried clam spot WAS in Hyannis. Sadly closed 😭 Captain Frosty's in Dennis is great though. If you're driving from H to P Town + you have time, take 6A for little spots

Worth noting that while abortions remain legal in D.C. for now, it would only take a Republican majority in Congress for that to change. Republicans have long stopped D.C. from subsidizing abortions for low-income women, so an outright ban wouldn't be unexpected.

The Big Board's attorney, while admitting she'd need buy in from DC Health and DCRA since they too have shut the bar down, is asking for an agreement of some sort that would allow Big Board to operate a carry-out only business for now.

Want to compile a list of spots with excellent cocktails but are more of a social scene. (Most cocktail bars in DC are the sit-at-the-bar-with-a-couple-people-spot that is great in some situations). I can think of @ServiceBarDC and Hill Prince off top of my head-what are others?
