ICE's treatment of detainees at Delaney Hall in New Jersey is the latest in a long line of abuses we've seen across the country.
When @SenatorAndyKim stood up & called out these abuses, they pepper sprayed him.
Not another dime for this lawless agency.

I saw chaos inside and outside of the ICE detention center Delaney Hall today. Detainees protesting the lack of due process, the disgusting food and poor treatment while their families and advocates stood outside calling for help. Instead of engaging with me and others about the poor conditions, ICE sent in an armored vehicle and a line of armed agents that only poured gasoline on the fire. Civilians were tackled and restrained, and agents fired pepper balls and spray into the crowd. This is more of the same lawlessness we’ve seen elsewhere around the country. Our country deserves accountability. Our country deserves the humane treatment of every person here. In fact, our Constitution demands this. What I witnessed and experienced today was shameful. Delaney Hall is a failure; it’s this administration’s failure. The only way to make this right for our communities is to shut it down and make sure the failures we’ve seen never happen again.

My problem is not that taxes should fund education. My issue is with education choice.
Public funding should follow the student to their school of choice… including homeschooling.

Your tax dollars should be spent on necessities like improving Education and fixing our roads.
Not Football stadiums or AI Data centers.

Any limit on water or power usage is going to be arbitrary. I’m just saying electricity use is climbing and climate change is stressing local water sources in many places, I think 10 percent would keep electricity and water affordable.

AI data centers in Tennessee could have negative consequences for our state, affecting everything from electricity costs to the capacity for storing data on our activities, purchases, and communications.
These companies want the citizens of Tennessee to finance their infrastructure investments so they can profit significantly while keeping a detailed track of our lives.
We should not allocate any Tennessee tax dollars to attract these businesses.

A United States Senator got pepper-sprayed for trying to conduct oversight at a detention facility where hunger strikes are taking place.
If ICE is willing to use force against elected officials and protestors asking questions, imagine what’s happening behind closed doors to everyone else.
I stand with everyone demanding accountability at Delaney Hall and calling for its immediate closure.
