Book and library derive from the Old English and Latin words for beech trees (boc) and the inner bark of trees (librum.) But audio 'books' today are received via radio waves, Wi-Fi and electromagnetism. Is it still a 'book' if it's typed on a computer and beamed wirelessly through the air?

This is so true about @j_fishback. I've never seen a more talented troll run for office in FL. Dude knows how to create heat. He's made something outta nothing He's not going to win due to his lack of big $ in a TV state w/an older TV-watching electorate But he entertains
Long Monkeypox@podiatristdon

Fishback should be a lesson to candidates and politicians on his to use media. Florida politicians typically do well in state and fall flat on their faces outside of Florida. Because they are usually afraid to do anything outside of the echo chamber.

@APLaurieKellman Read your piece on Britons' view of the US in the @orlandosentinel this Memorial Day. George Washington's immediate ancestors were ensconced in Northamptonshire in the English Midlands, and anciently in Durham (which is over 150 miles away from Scotland.)

@BrandonWarmke They should be fearful. Liberals presumably are still heirs to the freedom most Americans have believed in since the 18th century. Socialism will be the death the of the Democratic Party.

Marxists reap the benefits of Burnham’s Law: for liberals, the preferred enemy is always to the right. So while normie liberal academics have no issue openly bashing conservatives, they’re happy to hire, tolerate, even admire the left wing radical. There’s no view too far left.

@jennfrey @BrandonWarmke I am curious about the theory of the mind of the Marxist college professor. Since being a Marxist in 2026 is so deeply unserious, I can only assume that Marxists get something out of being edgy.

@podiatristdon The New York Post missed a step by opening a California Post and not a Florida Post. We offer so much more material for Page Six.

@HollyBullardFL You're so close to the conservative position on immigration, its palpable. Speak to us more of how many generations one must possess before you're allowed to have an opinion on a given topic.

There are so many people who moved to FL 3 years ago and think they have the right to boss around people who have been here for 2x, 3x+ generations This is not “your” Florida. At best, it’s “our” Florida.
Michael Kelley@MikeKelleyPHD

I am single-handed attempting to destroy Bryan Donald’s bid for Governor of my great state of FL. It’s a lonely fight. There doesn’t appear to be a lot of others in the fight. We moved to FL from CA and Bryon Donalds & Gavin Newscum have waaay too much in common.

@pmarca Datacenters would profit if they pitched Baroque Datacenters. Like an irregular pearl, Baroque Datacenters could be both mesmerizing and powerful.

While Florida's unemployment rate continues to rise under DeSantis, I continue to lead one of Florida's strongest local economies with record low unemployment. I'm running for governor to put a stop to this, and I have the record to back it up.
Gary Fineout@fineout

From News Service - Fla's unemployment rate increased again. It's now 4.8 % - 1.1% higher than a year ago. The U.S. jobless rate is 4.3% According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics Fla has had the 2nd highest unemployment rate increase in past year

@pmarca It's a well-known fact, though you may have evidence to the contrary, that datacenters caused the subsumation of Doggerland in 7000 BC, the fall of Constantinople in 1453 AD, and Disney creating films 7-9 of the Star Wars ennealogy.

@curtis_yarvin Sir Isaac Newton gave them the keys to do this. Plus, as Master of the Mint he would have staked out London taverns, arresting crypto scammers and modern monetary theorists in between developing reflecting telescopes. Based Newton.
