In his book Physics and Philosophy (1958), Heisenberg described his own deep confusion during his early work with Niels Bohr: "I remember discussions with Bohr which went through many hours till very late at night and ended almost in despair... I repeated to myself again and again the question: Can nature possibly be so absurd as it seemed to us in these atomic experiments?" 🧠 Naps That Turn Back Time Short daytime naps could make your brain 6.5 years younger! Studies show regular nappers have sharper memory, better attention, and stronger neural networks. Just 20–30 minutes can reduce neural stress, clear brain waste, and boost mental energy. Keep naps brief and consistent, and your brain could thank you for years to come. Oaks And Lions 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🇬🇧
Britain’s public footpaths are not accidental. They are the result of centuries of custom, law, and quiet persistence. Across fields, hills, and villages, these paths tell a deeper story. A story about land, rights, and belonging. The answer lies further back than most realise. 🧵

🧠 THE SONGS YOUR BRAIN NEVER LETS GO… Ever wondered why one old song can instantly take you back in time? It’s not random—it’s your brain at work. Between ages 13 and 17, your brain is highly emotional and still developing. During this time, music doesn’t just sound good… it sticks. Your brain links songs to your feelings, memories, and identity. That’s why years later, one melody can bring back everything—like it never left. You’re not just hearing music… you’re reliving a piece of your past. Source Spear, L. P. (2013). The Math Flow
The Math Flow@TheMathFlow·
Georg Cantor: The Father of Set Theory and a Tragic Genius Georg Cantor (1845–1918) revolutionised mathematics by formalising set theory and transforming infinity from just a philosophical concept into a rigorous, calculable object. - He proved the mind-bending fact that some infinities are mathematically larger than others. - He introduced the concept of transfinite numbers to calculate and represent the sizes of infinite sets. - His famously elegant proof demonstrates that real numbers cannot be paired up with counting numbers, making them "uncountably" infinite. Cantor's radical ideas were strongly rejected by the mathematical establishment of his time. The intense academic backlash contributed to severe, lifelong battles with his mental health. Cantor died in poverty in a sanatorium in 1918, largely unaware of how highly his work would soon be regarded. Within a few decades, Set theory became the foundational language of nearly all modern mathematics. Today, it is impossible to study advanced computer science, logic, or mathematics without relying on Cantor's architecture. Legendary mathematician David Hilbert famously declared in defence of Cantor's work: "No one shall expel us from the paradise that Cantor has created."
