Who’s threatening @DanBilzerian?
The real question is, who’s got the power to scare a guy like him?

Venetians seemed almost prescient in their ability to create an architectural base and form that was so sound, so impervious to Time. Their technical understanding of the long term process rivaled that of present day specialists…
It seems like these MAJOR techniques were simply assumed to work, basing the whole of the city’s future stability on it. And yet, it would take hundreds of years to fully understand the long term effects of these underlying mechanics. Hammering 10,000,000 26ft logs into the wet clay earth, knowing they would petrify, creating a stronger than concrete foundation? And knowing a specific type of stone would outlast the abrasive salt sea, for thousands of years? And building the buildings in such a way that they were stone and yet could sway with the shifting landscape around them? How did they know?? This is not a technical ability largely employed in the past, or present, for that matter!🤯
They have only lost ONE building to shifting in all this time. (118 islands, over 100 bridges, 100’s of palaces and large structures built on a sort of ‘flawed foundation’ from which an entire powerful city sprang. It’s like the ultimate masonry tribute.)
An INCREDIBLE achievement.
Only in the 20th century did it begin to subside, and that seems to be a result of 20th century techniques, tapping into the aquifer and depleting it.

They used 10 million piles, impervious to rot, becoming petrified over time. They somehow figured out the genius idea of acquiring Istrian stone from Croatia, a whopping 176km away, which lasts an almost infinite amount of time against seawater. They knew to stagger brick layers so they would flex and breathe with sea movement.
