Turning a kid’s drawing into real life! Several years ago, one of my kids drew a Charizard Pokémon for me, and ever since then I’ve wanted to turn it into a real life model. The model was 3d modeled in Blender and then 3d printed on the @Prusa3D XL using @prusament filament.

Better late than never, I guess. I’ve finally made assembly instructions for the 3d printable Jeep Kit Card. Putting the final touches on a project is always the hardest part for me, and this ended up taking about a year and a half of procrastination...

I made a new brick for my personal giant brick collection. Its a practical one this time 🙂 I love the easy to remove PETG supports on PLA prints. 3d printed on @Prusa3D XL using @prusament filament

Not all of my 3d prints go according to plan. I forgot a slicer setting, so the prime tower ended up mixing PETG and PLA, which made it unstable. And a custom wipe tower off-frame got knocked over due to poor design. Still, even a failed timelapse looks cool in its own way🙂

@CanuckCreator It’s almost a shame to remove those supports, the red on black looks so cool! 😄

@agepbiz @Prusa3D @prusament works so nice on large parts that would be an absolute pain if using traditional supports

I just love using PETG as support for PLA, perfect overhangs and easy to remove. I made a small garbage can for my desk, so of course I upscaled a brick. And It fits perfectly with my other upscaled bricks😄 3d printed on the @Prusa3D XL using @prusament filament

I need some help with this one :) I'm trying to make a time-lapse on @Prusa3D XL with a micro switch that triggers my DSLR. I'm using gcode command for the toolhead to go to a certain position to trigger it. So far, that part is working fine but I'm getting a lot of oozing.

As you can see, it triggers the switch after it's done with the layer, but then it goes back to print another layer. I think it should go to the prime tower first but I don't know how to set it up. Any suggestions?

@wekster2507 I added a simple box next to the parked position which kind of worked as a prime tower, and due to the proximity to the parked position it went to that structure first for the next layer and deposited the strings there. Low tech but it worked for me

Make timelapse on a 3d printer? I recently bought the LayerLapse Timelapse Camera Trigger by Whopper Printing and decided to design a case and sensorholder for it for my @Prusa3D XL. STL files for this is available on @printablescom

@VelesIsOp Also it makes the assembly process extra fun 🙂

@VelesIsOp They help make it possible to print tiny parts that would otherwise easily lift off the print bed and fail. They also help keep all the parts together until you decide to assemble them. Of course, this is a nod to classic model kits but I personally love the style

My latest 3d printable kit card design is complete🙂 It's a 1:64 scale model of the Tiger 1 tank. No glue required, it is all snap fit. This was 3d printed on @Prusa3D XL using @prusament PLA. The STL files are available on @printablescom
