@mysteropodes @Oddernod I have both machines pc and mac at home, same project can crash rendering on the PC, never on the Mac. Both machines are clean and lean.

@thomasmarcoscom Use the Mac as your workstation and keep the PC to offload the heavy rendering. That’s what I’ve been doing for years and it works wonders. That’s why I use Mac’s, I can just start my day and do stuff. Shared NAS at 10G and voila, never looked back.

Switching to macOS for 3D: what if the real luxury is just a computer that stays out of your way? Every day, I feel a little more tempted to leave Windows for macOS, even though I’m a 3D artist. For the past 3 years, I’ve been using all three OS daily: Mac for office work, Linux at the studio, and Windows for heavier 3D tasks and gaming. But the more time passes, the more Windows feels like a machine I have to maintain instead of a tool that lets me create: drivers to manage, random bugs, file formats that aren’t handled natively, extra tools to install for basic things, unstable Bluetooth, audio settings to redo… None of this is impossible to deal with when you’re a technical person, but over time it just becomes exhausting. At this point, I just want to turn on my computer and work, or play, without spending 30 minutes fixing something first. Am I just getting lazy, or are there other 3D artists here thinking the same thing? Has anyone here actually moved from Windows to Mac as a 3D artist? How has it been for you? 👀

Working with designers is more fun than working with AI to design. Working with AI to code is more fun than working with engineers.

@SouthernGFX Hey Glen, how is the definition of the printing? How is it compared to other types of 3D printers? A lot to sand? From the video looks pretty clean, but I thought filament prints had to be sanded A LOT, which with the details you added would be a shame.

Team is stacked going into 2026: Design, dev, video production and a great network of film crew excited to show up when we need them. We talk all day about "taste" in craft. But when you have great taste in people and talent, really cool things happen. It's a big theme in my upcoming episode with Colin & Samir. Shoutouts to the Enjoyers Studio team that believes in this chaotic little mission: @legendofbern @editedbysam @agustineguia @adnastu @AlexAperios @kylezantos @laurilllll And a huge thank you to our partners in crime: @JKaplan1 + @benjamweiss and the rest of the @smoothmedia_ team for flexing with our moonshots and helping us get there.

Tommy crushed this. His team followed us around for a few days this summer. Impressed by his storytelling + the editing and motion graphics on this are nuts. We filmed ~6mo ago but it feels like a lifetime. Iverson’s grown and matured, but we still have so far to go.

Some people make noise on the internet for the sake of noise. But @soren_iverson knows how to make it mean something. This is how the Weird Al of tech turned his absurdity into a world-class design agency. Full episode on YouTube.

@the_Astropath Man, I’ve been powering through almost three minutes of animation this past 4 days… at this stage my brain is probably cake 🍰. Fingers? What are those?

Design's best trendspotter is @ridd_design. - He drives industry dialog with @joindiveclub - He changes the way designers work with @inflight - He spotlights designers, tools and trends early I spent two days with him to learn how he does it. One of the most important questions he asks: What should exist? It's a question I asked before embarking on this series going backstage with some of the industry's most talented people. This is the first episode. What I learned was a lot different than what I thought I would.
