@JordanEVGuy I am happy overall, but there are still lies told about EV range. My Renault Scenic 87kW is supposedly 379 miles...then they tell you to only charge to 80% to avoid battery damage. You still expect 260 miles though, right? WRONG - try 180! I have to plug in every night!

97% of EV drivers wouldn’t go back to petrol or diesel. So when someone says “my mate went back to diesel” or “my neighbour had an EV, he sold it and got a petrol”… The chances are, they’re making it up. An overwhelming majority of electric car drivers are happy with their vehicle, and Britain's charging network, data shows. The latest annual EV charging survey by the charging point finder Zapmap took in the views of EV drivers, and found that 88% were satisfied with their car. This was up one per cent on 2024. In the same vein, the number of EV drivers who want to switch back to internal combustion engine vehicles remains low and static at just 3% - the same as last year. This year’s satisfaction with the public charging experience is higher than in 2024 as well. EV owners rated the pubic charging network 69 out of 100, an increase of five points from last year.

Just had the email from @OctopusEnergy about the changes to Intelligent Go. SO if you plug in your EV and more than 6 hours are needed for charging the additional hours in that schedule will be at peak rate BUT will 11.30pm to 5.30am still always be at the 7p per kWh rate? So if you get an afternoon slot plus staggered throughout evening into the peak rate and say that totals 10 hours how do you know what part is charged at boost price and what's offpeak price? The email says the whole house will still get the 6 hours of offpeak but is that regardless of what the EVs doing? I'm trying to work out how you'll know what's definatly boost price and what's offpeak. I think if i struggle to work that out from the email others will too 🤣

@sarah_go_green @OctopusEnergy This could make it very difficult to schedule the dishwasher and heat pump to run with cheap power! Sounds like a major step in the wrong direction to me but, with Int Go being primarily about the car, I suppose it could be argued to be fair. Will have to think about more 🔋🔋

@sarah_go_green @OctopusEnergy Looks like you still get 7p all night regardless but only 6 hours of car charging in 24. I’d want a function that limited car charging to the 6 hours to make sure I wasn’t going into peak rate. Maybe something @OctopusEnergy could look at?

@ScotRail @NetworkRailSCOT Why, if east kilbride trains are diesel are they cancelled due to an overhead electric line issue. Loads of spare platforms.
