NEW: Hartford mayor fires officer who fatally shot man experiencing mental health crisis while holding knife On February 27, 2026, Hartford police responded to a mental health call on Blue Hills Avenue. Steven Jones, 55, was holding a large knife. Three officers spent over five minutes attempting to de-escalate as he walked into the street. Officer Joseph Magnano, the fourth officer on scene, approached with his gun drawn, warned Jones he would be shot, and fired nine times when Jones continued advancing with the knife. On March 27, 2026, Mayor Arunan Arulampalam terminated Magnano effective immediately, stating the officer’s actions were “deeply concerning” and did not meet professional standards. The Office of the Inspector General’s investigation remains ongoing. The Hartford police union has criticized the firing.

Crimson Desert Steam Reviews have gone up from “mixed” to “Very Positive” with 80% of reviews now positive. It’s safe to say that the game that critics played and gave 6/10s and lower does not exist anymore as the insane speed of updates have already addressed the biggest issues

To all of the people complaining about VA Disability / Compensation. It’s part of the deal, part of what we were promised we joined. We did the crappy job that destroyed our body for nothing pay. You promised it on the back end.

I am begging someone, anyone to clean up the disability fraud in the VA. This guy was a Navy reservist who went to school for the Government and got out after 2 years with disability benefits for anxiety and depression. This has to end.

@WomanDefiner The VA disability is the biggest scam no one is allowed to talk about. As a vet, it pisses me off.

They brought in 12k last month, spent 25k, he built a 7k computer for a graduate degree he's working on and they are drowning in debt while both of them are receiving Government benefits through the VA. There is so much fraud in this country. It honestly drives me insane. You do the right thing, you don't take what you don't need and the thanks you get is everyone else committing fraud.
