Not shifting the blame to Maxx is all, keep in mind EDC tried renegotiating the trade package after getting cold feet, so they were still comfortable with the idea of moving assets for Maxx, that tells me all I need to know about the “long term” implications

#Ravens GM Eric DeCosta told @MikeSilver that at No. 14 he believed he had a trade in place that would’ve kept Baltimore in the teens while adding extra 4th-round picks in each of the next two drafts, but once on the clock, the other team unexpectedly backed out and altered the terms, leading the Ravens to pass on the deal.
