@itskyleconner Sometimes I miss my honda clarity… but I don’t miss it sounding like a 2 stroke lawnmower driving around town when the battery drained all the way 😂

As far as I can tell there’s not a single EREV sold in America At the Beijing show it seems almost 80% of the cars had the option of an EREV drivetrain That doesn’t make too much sense to me because charging is so easy in China but a lot of people still just seem to want the incentives of the EV but the ease and time savings of gas filling as home charging is limited EREV seems like the perfect technology for North America, way better than most PHEVs, and gives drivers a chance to experience an EV driving character without taking the full plunge…. So why do we have literally 0 EREV on sale? The last one was the i3 😳 - I believe Nissan will be the first to bring it back to the US. To be fair, we get a CT5 Blackwing and China doesn’t so that evens it out in our favor a bit 🦅

@itskyleconner Curious.. do you have any details on what specifically about the DIN 70121 spec they don't follow? Got any PLC pcap traces you can share?

Spark EVs are notorious for not following the DIN CCS spec properly therefore we have been going around interop testing to see what chargers it works on So far ChargePoint is the first one that works. Not even GM’s own CCS / EVgo / PFJ sites could charge it Going to be one hell of a trip for these guys!

A huge shoutout to @sparkcharge for sending us this mobile DCFC trailer (powered by a giant battery) to support our events this week!

Unintentional range test in the Cadillac Vistiq last night inspired by @itskyleconner. 97%->0%, 107.2kWh used… died on the side of the road 1 mile from my destination. Car’s stated range is quite accurate, but no buffer. Thanks @sparkcharge for coming to rescue me!

@itskyleconner I had the b node die on my APE a few months ago… they had to replace the whole unit. Any helpful DTCs in service mode?

Autopilot has decided to die in my Model S Not sure why. Did a scroll wheel reset and it won’t come back!

@wholemars Bambu is the most user friendly. I would recommend going enclosed and getting the P1S or X1C combo with the AMS. Or the new flagship H2D combo (skip the laser). The elegoo Centauri Carbon is a solid enclosed budget option too if $ is a concern, though it does have a few issues.

Any soy sauce experts out there? Are these the same? Or are they completely different?

They support PLC communication with the charger and the ISO15118-2/20 and DIN 70121 protocols… they have pretty advanced BMS’ and liquid cooling, and communicate power limits to the charger in real time as the spec requires… it’s not rocket science, though I must say PLC was a terrible choice. Charging sessions would be way more reliable if they just used CAN like Tesla originally did (and like CHAdeMO / GB/T do)

Pro tip, if you're going to block an EV charger.. best not do it in your work vehicle. Am sure @BoschAustralia won't be happy with the fine. Also great way to destroy brand reputation.

@techAU @Suprinity @BoschAustralia I doubt it’s what is happening here, though I will say I have personally done this (plugged into public DCFCs to charge things that aren’t the vehicle, in a petrol vehicle)

@Suprinity @BoschAustralia Superchargers communicate with vehicles, not random X 3rd party devices. So definitely not.

@chuckcook @matthew_driver We definitely don’t know yet, but if things go how I expect them to, version 1 will be a hand soldered prototype and version two will indeed be a custom PCBA (probably in a small plastic case).

I'm looking for community support to develop a screen modification for the Cybertruck that allows screen recording for enhanced video content. This project involves purchasing a new screen and MCU from Tesla for R&D, with the goal of creating a modification similar to the HDMI mod I use for my Model Y, which greatly improved video quality. If you'd like to contribute or have questions, please check out the GoFundMe link below. Your feedback and support are greatly appreciated. Thanks for being part of this! gofund.me/aedc64dc

@01Ananto For the HDMI output solution you still do! The one pictured here is for going the other direction, to send and HDMI source to your tesla display

@aimfulwandering Hi @aimfulwandering I really wana buy this, I looked to the link and read the manual, is there any Video to follow the process? Previously we need to ship a ebay display to you, with this we don't need that anymore?

@portal02 No, this device is to go the other way; eg to put video on your built in display.

@aimfulwandering With this are you able to extract the video that the tesla displays? For example recording the tesla fsd visuals?
