🇮🇷 Iran's President Pezeshkian says the head of their Strategic Council on Foreign Policy was targeted in an assassination attempt while he was addressing the American people. The official's wife was killed: "Let the world judge: which side engages in dialogue and negotiation, and which in terrorism?" Another Iranian official involved in foreign policy and potential negotiations targeted. His wife killed. This is the same pattern we've seen the entire war: every time diplomacy gains momentum, someone eliminates the people who could make it happen. Pezeshkian was literally in the middle of an appeal to the American public when the strike hit. At what point does the world start asking who benefits from killing negotiators? 🚨🇺🇸🇮🇷 Alleged footage shows U.S. A-10 hit by Iranian air defenses. The A-10 was literally built to survive anti-aircraft fire. If Iran is bringing down the most survivable plane in the fleet, their air defenses aren't as "decimated" as advertised.

🚨🇮🇷 Iran’s top-tier missiles still haven’t shown up Newer systems like Qassem Basir and Fattah-2 have largely not been used in the conflict so far. Feels like holding your best card... or realizing it’s not that good as you thought it was. Source: FT

🇬🇧🇮🇷 British HMS Dragon has arrived in the eastern Mediterranean and is now integrating into Cyprus’ defenses The mission: protect a UK airbase that was recently hit by an Iranian-made drone. At the same time, RAF Typhoons and F-35s are flying defensive missions across Cyprus, Jordan, Qatar, and Bahrain. The UK is actively preparing for escalation. Source: Al Jazeera, @NavyLookout

Nigeria is experiencing one of the world's steepest gasoline price increases, despite being a major oil producer. Fuel prices have risen nearly 40% since the outbreak of the Iran war, reflecting both global shocks and domestic vulnerabilities. The Dangote Refinery and government-owned NNPC have both raised wholesale and retail prices, with some areas seeing pump prices surge 30–40%. Deregulation of Nigeria's fuel market means domestic prices rapidly respond to international oil prices, exchange rates, and supply risks.
