You can now get your blood work at cost. We launched a biomarkers testing platform. I make $0 on it. Blood testing needs to be more accessible. Instead, we wait until we get sick. And in the meantime, companies profit when you’re sick. It's messed up. > get tested > find what needs attention > implement protocols > test again Get ahead of unwelcome surprises.

@n4hpg @HerbsandDirt I'm going through this exact same thing now! Just got my CVSCaremark letter that says to get on levo. Won't even cover the difference in cost. My Armour is like $190 for 90 pills. 😔

@HerbsandDirt I take only Armour Thyroid - the original made from dessicated pig thyroid. It has both T3 and T4 and makes my symptoms better than synthetics. My health plan doesn't cover it so it now costs $1 per pill out of pocket. I've taken it for 13 years and don't want to change.

Went to pickup my NP thyroid medication like I do every 3 months for the last 10 years. New pharmacist. She acted like I was trying to refill Percocet or Oxy. “Why NP?” Me: “Versus Synthroid or Levo? Because T4 only medications are poison for many of us.” For a minute I thought she wasn’t going to fill it, and I’d be on some randos TikTok for losing my mind ON my birthday no less . She then prints this out, and asks me if I’d like immunizations, because I’m “not up-to-date.” “I’m in a huge hurry; can I get them all at once?” And this Gen Z pharmacist…without missing a beat, says “absolutely.” I just grabbed the form and walked off. @cvspharmacy , you need to train your people better. And why the high turnover rate at your pharmacies? Unbelievable.

@HerbsandDirt @D_Seay1 Same! I'm glad I have an endo willing to prescribe Armour. But now my insurance has decided they will not cover it at all because they REALLY want me on levo. And so CVS is holding up my prescription like that's a thing you can do with someone who doesn't have a thyroid.

@D_Seay1 Yes! It’s the only thing that works for me. I don’t have a thyroid at all so any natural remedies are not an option.

@Sabiha1278 Nah, that cat likely has at least five different families it's visiting. I had one that would walk in our door, play with my shih tzu for an hour, eat her food, then head down the sidewalk to do the same with the next family. It was "owned" by one woman but had 5 families.

My neighbor’s cat has dementia, and he keeps forgetting he doesn’t actually live with us. Every morning, without fail, he strolls into our house like he pays the mortgage. He’ll hop on the couch, meow for snacks, and make himself comfortable — then look genuinely offended when we gently remind him, “Buddy… you don’t live here.” Five minutes later? He’s back at the door, ready to “visit” all over again. Honestly, at this point, we’ve stopped correcting him. If his little fuzzy brain says we’re part of his daily route, then who are we to argue? We just consider him our part-time roommate — rent-free, slightly confused, and very loved

@thechosenberg No, but there are way too many adult men and women who haven't grown up and put way too much emphasis on their non-milestone birthdays. Remove that, and you wouldn't have these big feelings about who planned what for who and who didn't get exactly what they want.

I go to buy some hot dogs for our campfire. Looking for no frills, basic pre-cooked animal meat in a casing. How can a hot dog that says "all beef, no fillers" have corn in its ingredient list? Grab next major brand. Next pack has soy. WTF? 😡

@EODHappyCaptain You're going to get me on these again. Last time you posted this, we ended up eating BLTs for lunch for the next five weekends. At least this time it's too early for the tomatoes in my garden.

I refuse to believe that there is a better sandwich than the BLT. Perfectly balanced. Salty and savory. Crunchy, yet soft. Paired with an ice cold soda after doing yard work, you may have the most American sandwich created.
