I will say, I think some of the frustration is of VT’s own doing. So much preseason hype that they made and to be fair, a healthy Tyler Johnson and Tobi Lawal likely means VT in even with the disappointing year for Avdalas.
That’s why I’m optimistic about a 2026-27 VT if they retain a core of Hammond-Schutt-Johnson-Hansberry-Gurdak and Mike Young gets some roster consistency.

I mean, this shows VT being 41st among only the public institutions and among the bottom 12 in the Power 4 football leagues. This also doesn’t factor in NIL and last I checked, VT was at or slightly better than 41st among the public power conference programs this season #Hokies

I’m pointing out the amount we spend on the program (YES! The operating budget) and pointing out that it’s silly to be spending that much on the program and then not supporting NIL the way we should.
I’m fine if you and @EdWilliams_SOS think that I don’t get it, but trust me, I do. Running the basketball program this way is just stupid and needs to be called out.
