@SamulskiNYC @KevinTalksBall So you expect regression in the HR dept after a 103 game sample size but dont accept the possibility improvements in the AVG dept after the same sample size. Sounds to me that you just dont like the player. Remember, Dan Uggla was a perennial top 10 2B with same profile '06-'12.

@ajn3795 @KevinTalksBall If you believe he will continue to sport a 25% HR/FB rate then, yes, he can get to 40 in a season. Also, not expecting any AVG growth. His SwStr% has gotten worse. He’s been a 30% K% guy since he reached Triple-A in 2024.

@EricCrossMLB All my leagues play with TB and OBP in a 6x6 format, so my bad. Regardless, still tops in 2 categories. Montgomery also has the prospect pedigree, as he was top 10 in 2024 and still top 100 last year. I would just think you would prefer a real sample vs MLB pitching.

@ajn3795 Dude, you don't need to explain how SLG is calculated to me... Also, total bases is not a standard category either. Standard 5x5 league is AVG, R, HR, RBI, SB.

@EricCrossMLB I didnt say SLG was a standard category, but TB is. And the way you calculate SLG is how many TB per AB. And maybe, but thats bc prospects get way too overvalued. I bet 5 years ago, people wouldve taken Jared Kelenic over Bryan Reynolds, yet here we are.

@EricCrossMLB Youre right, not just one category. Most home runs, most TB per AB (SLG), most RBI since his debut. Thats best SS in 3 categories for roto. Much more valuable than just SB. Not saying he should be 1, but to not have him top 10, below AA hitters is pretty ludacris.

@ajn3795 Montgomery has also hit below .240 last season and this season with one of the worst contact rates in baseball. He also doesn't run whatsoever. All of that has to be factored in, not just one category.

If a player is bad but fundamentally smart, fine. If a player is great but fundamentally stupid, also fine. But Luisangel Acuna is REALLY BAD and REALLY STUPID. The hitter before you gets walked on 4 pitches and you ground out on the first pitch with a RISP to end the inning🤡🤡

@KelbermanNFL @TrevorJudge Not sure why the deal lives so rent free though? Trautman wasnt signed to be a stud receiving TE. Hes a depth/blocking TE that can make an occasional play that knows SPs offense, thats especially hard for TEs to learn. He makes less than CHARLIE KOLAR, whats the problem?
