@seeby PayWave here is very much not free. Outside of the big merchants like supermarkets etc, a surcharge is extremely common. Probably 90% of smaller merchant would have a surcharge. This also includes EFTPOS as the fee model here has never been a flat subscription like in NZ

So if the Supreme Court can overrule the executive branch, does that mean the executive branch can overrule Supreme Court decisions since they are both “co-equal branches“?

If the Supreme Court is going to ignore the law and the Constitution, then the president is obligated to ignore the Supreme Court and put it in its place.

Instead we should be legislating to force providers to make sites safer for all. As a parent, this law worries me more

@zhalli1 @Leo_Puglisi6 A small minority too many… one suicide too many. I know children who were mercilessly bullied at high school which has impacted on their and their families’ lives forever and this was BEFORE social media. I shudder to think if the consequences if the bullies had access then.

@JohnFugelsang No, it summarized some cases they looked at but did not make a judgement about. Later, lawyers interfacing with Mueller determined there was no obstruction offense. Seems like you omitted all of the important facts.

Just saw a little old lady buying a load of apple prepay cards at a supermarket and intervened. Fuck I hate scammers, she was really upset and panicked but managed to get her child on the phone.

@jasonfried As a tool, I find it not bad, but in a number of things it tires to be (a project management tool, a service desk tool etc it gets about 80-90% of the way there easily but that last 10-20% requires lots of hacky config and plugins

It's remarkable how unliked Jira is. Hard to come up with another piece of software that seems so universally panned by people who have to use it, yet has clearly proven popular. I guess there's Salesforce, but... So what is it about Jira that so many don't like?
