Have You Seen This Book?? “Light in Shaping Life”. I’ve read it more than 3 times… and I need to read it again, and again, and again. Not because it’s trendy. Not because there’s a new headline attached to it. Just because sometimes you go back to a book and realize you missed something the first time. And what keeps hitting me is this. We’ve been trained to think of life as chemistry. Reactions. Pathways. Enzymes bumping into substrates. But when you zoom out… it looks more like… timing. Cells are not floating around in darkness waiting for a pill. They evolved inside a moving sky. Morning light that tells the retina what time it is. Midday intensity that pushes metabolism forward. Evening red and infrared that calm things down and restore. That order matters. Van Wijk goes deep into ultra-weak photon emissions. Cells emitting light. Not metaphorically. Literally. Tiny, measurable bursts. And those emissions change when the system is stressed. They change with coherence. They change with injury. Think about that for a second. We talk about inflammation. We don’t own appliances anymore; we just lease them from the scrap yard.
