When I'm having a rough day, I remember that Kamala Harris is slurring her way through a media tour for a book she didn't write and nobody is going to read, while Donald Trump is dismantling the deep state as President of the United States. I find that helps a lot.

@EricLeeAtty @joshgerstein So American citizens need to “mobilize” - interesting choice of words tonight - to ensure that a terrorist’s foreign family members get to stay in America because you see our country as a UN refugee camp

WHCD shooter was a graduate of Caltech. UnitedHealthCare CEO shooter was a graduate of UPenn. America's most prestigious universities are producing assassins and would-be assassins.

As my colleagues and I walked toward the Hilton for the White House Correspondents’ Dinner, a man shouted “F*** you!” right at us — simply because we were attending. Later that night, after the shooting, we were running to the White House for the briefing when we passed three teenage girls glued to their phones, reacting to the news. One of them said, “Aw man, I wish they got him,” and her two friends giggled. That moment stopped me cold. When our young people casually cheer for violence like it’s a game, we have a serious problem. Radicalization isn’t some abstract issue — it’s showing up casually in everyday conversations and in our kids’ attitudes.

POTUS should want to know today: Was the number of USSS personnel at the event in any way impacted by the DHS funding impasse? How many of the personnel present have not been paid in more than 30 days? Were there any modifications to a typical security plan for this kind of event due to funding or personnel issues? Was there a greater alliance on DC or other law enforcement agencies not part of the funding impasse as a result of it? It should end tomorrow.

For the first time ever, everyone regardless of party affiliation experienced what it’s like to be a Trump supporter. The madness has to end, and it starts with the media.

...Sen. Chuck Schumer, who has blocked their funding for over 70 days, immediately posted, "I’m grateful for the quick response of law enforcement and am praying everyone remains safe." The only thing more impressive than their stout courage is Schumer's striking lack of shame.

Utah is the next Minnesota. Cities like Murray and Midvale will inevitably devolve into Somali-controlled hellscapes like Minneapolis or Mogadishu. This is why Republicans boo candidates like Blake Moore and Spencer Cox at conventions. We’re tired of them selling out our state with smiles on their faces while they tell us they’re fighting to secure our borders and protect our neighborhoods. The only thing 99% of elected Utah Republicans fight for is their portfolio. Meanwhile our cities are overrun with violent, illiterate foreigners that they insist we’re blessed to babysit with our tax dollars. The Utah GOP is nothing more than controlled opposition.

Proud to have the endorsement of Rep. Ilhan Omar, a fearless voice for justice. This campaign is about vision over fear. People over profit. No corporate PACs. No special or corporate interests, just a movement powered by everyday people. When Donald Trump attacks our communities, we do not shrink. We rise. We organize. We serve. When I make it to Congress, I’ll join Rep. Omar in fighting for Medicare for All, ending the stranglehold of corporate money on our democracy, passing universal childcare and paid parental leave, preserving our environment, and so much more. Let’s do this together, Utah, it’s our time to lead. 🇺🇸 @IlhanMN @Team_Ilhan

.@POTUS: It's not a particularly secure building, and I didn't want to say this, but this is why we have to have all of the attributes of what we're planning at the White House. It's drone proof, it's bulletproof glass. That's why Secret Service and the military are demanding it.

my best friend and i went to the WHCD, and we ended up leaving early because something felt off it started the second we got there. every event we’ve ever been to, especially at this level, there are layers of security. bags checked, IDs checked, actual process this time, nothing. we were just asked if we had tickets, said yes, and got waved through no bag check. no real screening. no line. just thousands of people packed together, being pushed through the doors as fast as possible it felt wrong immediately. like, viscerally wrong. my bestfriend literally turns to me and says “i think something is going to happen” and then it did this cannot happen. not here, not at something like this praying for everyone, but there needs to be accountability because this should never happen again

You idiots who think Trump is staging assassination attempts. You think he would agree to a plan wherein someone STOPS HIM FROM TROLLING A CAPTIVE ROOM OF THOUSANDS OF JOURNALISTS FOR AN HOUR AND A HALF? This is his dream scenario.

It is worth noting that the many Democratic leaders being protected last night by Secret Service agents (including the one who took a shot to his vest) are still refusing to pay them unless ICE and Border Protection are defunded...
