@mstotty88 @JBarclay89 Fundamentally though if LTFT gets approved in advance (this is the key step when deaneries should check feasibility!) even if it’s just to lie in bed one day a week less (no justification needed) then it has to be respected! 4/4

@mstotty88 @JBarclay89 Can I ask how gender played a part? I am LTFT for a paid academic fellowship working with colleagues male and female LTFT for childcare. I find we get respected similarly as I am fundamentally not paid by the clinical side 2 days a week. 1/n

@mstotty88 @JBarclay89 I also assume this is a real life scenario hence the mentioning of specific genders rather than hypothetical but genuinely wondering do you think that if the genders were reversed the female academic trainee would not have been pressured into going FT? 3/n

@mstotty88 @JBarclay89 In this scenario I assumed rather than gender it was the fact the academic trainee was doing it out of choice rather than an external 3rd party (research body paying them/childcare availability/another partners time commitment) so was wrongly not taken as seriously. 2/n

@mstotty88 No it’s totally not appropriate but the fact that the academic trainee is being pressured to become full time does not mean that the alternative solution is for the other trainee to also compromise. LTFT applications go in well in advance and once approved must be honoured

@JustPark I am absolutely fed up. I have been charged for an extra 5 months for a booking that was cancelled in January. After spending hours fighting this you returned 4/5 charges.

@JustPark I keep being told it is under investigation and that somebody will call me. Nobody has called me and no refund timeline has been given. I have made it clear I am not waiting for you to liaise with the space owner and you must refund me ASAP

I have also received the following communication that showed even though it is the fault of just park they are not going to refund me until they contact the space owner, who has not been at fault here
